  1. Past hour
  2. That might be an easier match up than Texas Tech.
  3. In a fairness to certain other teams Bama needs to be tossed from the playoffs.
  4. They'll probably end up a 12 seed and be matched against OBD.
  5. It's more the other side of the ball I'm concerned about. Their D-line, and whole defense, looks really good. They get a lot of pressure on QBs (they got pressure on Utah's QB like no other team despite Utah's very good O-line). We've seen Moore struggle under pressure against Indiana. I know there are no easy opponents in the 2nd round, but I think many assume Texas Tech is the easiest of the four and I'm not sure that's true.
  6. Bama will be in the playoff, so DeBoer still has life. If the committee leaves them out then that will be the end of conference championship games.
  7. Someone said DeMeco Ryans! 😂😂😂
  8. Bama had -3 yards rushing. That is all.
  9. Let me guess. They’re also saying “Pay Dan Lanning whatever he wants. Make him say no”.
  10. I believe we will play Tulane. They looked decent today.
  11. People on Alabama fan forums are asking what Deboer's buyout is. 😂😂😂
  12. So with the Georgia win, what do the bracket projections look like? Do we get to play Tulane from the 5 seed, whoop them, and then go put a beat down on Texas Tech?
  13. It can now be said that Kirby does NOT have a Bama problem.
  14. Wow how the Tides turned. Bama should be out with this performance with my eye test. Ducks a solid 5th.
  15. They've picked it up a little, but Alabama's new Beavis coach JaMarcus Shephard's receivers had 93 yds after 3 quarters. Georgia now leads 28-7 with 6:51 left.
  16. Yesterday
  17. Kirby, maybe sit #15 on the bench for the rest of the game. He’s Bama’s offense with all of his penalties.
  18. Bama now has 10 yards rushing for the game. Seven less than halftime. They’ve ran 3 plays on UGA‘s side of the field. They’re slightly better than LSU in the 2012 NC game.
  19. Maybe he has a better personality…
  20. So far, so good. Tech looks scary. Georgia is mauling Alabama, and a fully healthy Ohio State is still yet to take the field. But just in case Alabama makes a comeback, or Indiana upsets Ohio State....
  21. And maybe Kirby has smartened up against DeBoer's offense which has always been pass heavy.
  22. I can’t be too specific, but in my career I met (and dealt with) many kids and families in high-level athletics. There were all kinds, as you can imagine. But there were also the hangers-on lurking around. Big talk, big promises. The legitimate scouts and coaches were almost always good to deal with. The others were trouble, and too often I witnessed the dissension they brought with them. I’m sure NIL would now complicate it now even more. All of that to say, stories like this are just the tip of the iceberg.
  23. Promoting from within is great, as long as they are qualified. Dabo Swinney has made the mistake of promoting former players to fill roles they aren't qualified for. I think Dan is more aware of this than I am. Until proven otherwise, I'd trust the man that has 35 wins over the last three years.
  24. While not surprising, it is very disturbing. NIL has not only brought this kind of pay-for-play into the open, but has created a lot of opportunities for people to prey on the talents of kids.
