  4. 5 games affecting our CFP ranking. ND/Pitt, Oklahoma/'Bama, Iowa/sc, Flda/Ole Miss & Texas/Georgia. 5 games in Week 12 that could impact the Oregon Ducks' CFP seeding For the CFP, go Pitt (no brainer), Oklahoma (double no brainer re DeBoer), sc (ouch), Flda (that was easy), Texas (sorry Danno).
  5. I understand Oregon is quote-unquote, wealthy due to our biggest booster. but what is in place after his passing??
  6. They might have shut it down as now Wrightster and Fentress do one for Oregon Live.
  7. Does anyone know if Talkin’ Ducks was cancelled? I believe the last episode was a month ago after the Indiana game.
  8. Ohio St isn't one dimensional, but the fear of their run attack is nowhere near last years team.
  9. Trying to understand why so many Duck fans scared of Ohio St now? I wanna play them again more than anything. A lot PTSD going around. We will be fine. Sheesh
  10. That 2001 team that throttled Notre Dame in the Fiesta Bowl was really good. They came on strong as the season progressed. If the 12 team playoff existed then, they may well have run the table.
  11. Oregon football roundtable predictions for Ducks Week 12 game vs. Minnesota Golden Gophers The Oregon Ducks did everything they needed to last week against the Iowa Hawkeyes in a tough, gritty game in Iowa City to establish themselves as one of the top teams in the nation and a true College Football Playoff contender. Now, Oregon faces a potential letdown spot on a short week, hosting the Minnesota Golden Gophers on Friday night in Autzen Stadium. There's a chance that the Ducks are without several starters, many of whom were unable to play last week against the Hawkeyes. However, they could potentially see wide receiver Evan Stewart return for the first time this season as well. So far, we've broken down the matchup, identified major keys to victory, and covered the injury news heading into Saturday. Now it's time to make some predictions.

  13. USC and Michigan are now threatening to leave the conference over this. I don’t disagree with their positions but this would be a bit extreme - if you don’t get your way, “take your football and go home.” OutKickUSC, Michigan Reportedly Considering Leaving Big Ten Conf...USC Trojans and Michigan Wolverines oppose Big Ten's private equity investment, potentially risking departure from conference over financial disagreements.

  16. Last Sunday, as I read through all of my go to college football websites to recap Saturday’s action, I came across this point from The Athletic’s college football insider Stewart Mandel: “Finally, if you’re about age 45 and older, you remember when Oregon State was a decades-long punching bag in the old Pac-8/10, before rising up in the late ’90s ... Those Damned Beavers
  17. So sorry WK. I lost my dawg Pokey in 1994 and have never had the inclination to try to replace him. My wife didn't, but he enjoyed Dawg football with me, actually watching the game and cueing his responses to my body language. When the Georgia Redcoat band would strike up the fight song after a Georgia touchdown, he would howl and was good at it as he was a quarter wolf dog. He was a great companion who helped me to get through the stresses and emotions of the dissolution of my first marriage. I've healed now from his death (and that marriage), but I can never forget and will always celebrate that Dawg!
  18. Just a money grab? Is there any true benefit outside of a cash infusion? $2.4 Billion only once? Thats only about $130 million. Tell me you can't get a bit more creative than negotiating a loan. Is there no end to the muddying of this sport?

  22. Funny thing about broken noses... I've actually been directly involved with a few. At my great Uncle's funeral/non-alcholic wake, my cousin Paul (his grandson), whowas also in his teens, but outmatched me by 3" and 20+ pounds, was busy bullying most of the smaller cousins. He started pestering me and when I ignored him, tried to suckered punch me from behind... I realized what was happening, and dodged left, throwing up my right arm to block the incoming blow. I, err... missed, instead pulverizing his schnozz. Years later, at my Dad's funeral, I was sitting with his Grandma. She suddenly pointed at my brother, and hissed, "You're one who messed up Paulie's face!" We all knew what she was talking about, but it got better. She quickly relaxed, and muttered, "Aw, crap! Doesn't matter any more since the lid on the pasteurizing machine (basically a large pressure cooker) blew off and REALLY scrambled his mush!" Half the room cracked up. GladvDante is OK! GO DUCKS!
