This years team has far more to play for than just themselves and we Duck fans? I think what little credibility the Pac 12 has as a football conference is completely riding on these very young ducks! Like it or not, fair or not, If we drop out of playoff contention because we lost to pathetic teams like Stanford and WSU it will bury the Pac for years to come.
Remember we open next year with an inexperienced QB and backfield against the defending NC Georgia team in their own backyard. (With most of their team returning!)
So yes there is tremendous pressure on these young men. But I doubt that matters as much to 19 year olds as it does to us older fans. I may be off base here but who else is going to challenge the Big 10 or SEC? USC loves hiring inept coaches, UCLA is still years behind, and nobody else can get the blue chip recruits?
A loss this Saturday is devastating to the entire conference. But a legit top 3 team would mop the floor with WSU. Just saying...U know I have been pondering why the PAC isn't as good. What about all the different types of offenses that are ran in PAC compared to B10 SEC it seems to be a different type every week. I also don't like the bye wks it seems to give 1 team an advantage.

How many years had Saban been a head coach before he got to Alabama and how long did it take for him to win the Natty.
I disagree with most of the complaints people have with MC because u still have to give him time. Maybe he won't master the areas of concerns that people have. But in the history of CFB how many coaches have won titles compared with how many have coached. It's a rarity.
If U look at which team's were in the initial CPO the HC's are all in the Saban tree. I don't believe this is a coincidence.
Look at Georgia and K. Smart I believe this is his 8th season of top 5 recruiting classes. He's made the PO 1 time before this and never won it. I bet the Georgia fans were complaining also.
Now he looks like he has a team to win it all.
All I am saying that if MC is given time he may get us the Natty we all want so bad. I know I would play for the guy. I respect him that much and hope he stays and finishes what he has started.

He had had 2 PF committed on the field. He's coaching for his career and he loses it and pushed a player who was going to get his team another flag. Oh my god. How terrible. I sure none of us would have done anything like that. This culture has has went to hell and a handbasket. I don't like the Dawgs but still I hate to see this happen to anyone. The punishment doesn't fit the so called crime.

Haywood his punt return did get us the winning td. I know the PF was bad but it's going to happen occasionally in games like this. I just wish the refs would let them play

I was just looking at the U of O team page on goducks.com
it says we are #1 in the PAC and 26th in the country in PPG. 36.9 pts per game. Where is our terrible offense that MC and Moorhead run.
It also gives ton of other interesting information.

Young teams struggle on the road and then there is elevation. Really tough. God we got shafted on away vrs home games this year.
But next year. We will get all of those teams at home.

I believe running the ball, controlling the time, taking shots downfield to keep opposition from stacking the box and keeping your defense fresh can be a winning combination.
Since I started playing, winning the trenches was what every team wanted to do. That's been Cristobal. He is a lineman. And for the most part he has accomplished this. I don't see what the problem is?
He's recruiting and he's winning. There is no sense in expecting a blowout every game. It's unreasonable for any team to go undefeated nearly any season. Any top team loses to a lesser team most seasons.
Why? If I could figure that out I would be a well paid college coach or gambler.
