  1. Every college fan base thinks their college QB hero would have been super good in the NFL.....if only.
  2. That's all fine and good but, in my opinion, he would have left for Bama if offered.
  3. Sorry to bring it up again but where is the evidence Lanning was offered the Bama job? I am glad Deboer is gone as he, in my opinion, is currently a better coach than Lanning. But I still am curious if we have actual EVIDENCE (not supposition) of Lanning turning down the job and not just homer hagiography worship of Lanning and hoping he chose Oregon over Bama. All that being said I am so glad Lanning is our coach.
  4. I am just glad Deboer is gone. He got his team mentally prepared to compete like hell against us in the P12 title game. Lanning for some reason wasn't able to get our guys WANTING it.
  5. Was he offered Bama? Otherwise I'm not sure the loyalty angle.
  6. I think Chip and the NFL are not a good match. I remember telling my Duck homer friend that Chip would quickly wear out his welcome in the NFL.
  7. 3 losses in a row to UW make me not super confident. But I guess things could change and the ball bounce our way.
  8. Call me wacky but I think people should cook food however they feel like. It's not an orthodox religion. It is food to your taste,
  9. I kind of wish Bo would have sat out the bowl game and we could have seen what Ty had to offer in a full game. From afar it seemed he handled himself with dignity and was a good teammate. Hopefully he is amazing wherever he goes.
  10. I think the problem in the Pac12 title game was mostly down to Oregon expecting to win as opposed to wanting to win. Why coach let that happen is a Lanning problem not a UW problem.
  11. Having not paid much attention I ask the forum a question: If college football dumps the NCAA and goes into some kind of super conference then isn't it possible UO could be placed in a more geographically appropriate subdivision? Like UCLA, USC, Washington, Oregon and perhaps a handful of other westerly located football schools? I would like that more than having to fly our students in all sports wayyyyy the heck around the country as part of the Big10
  12. Yes I really think a good number of them felt a little too secure in their chances to win and never recovered. UW spanked us around on a neutral field. If Vegas it be believed UW basically outperformed by nearly two touchdowns. Yes I think the Ducks didn't have the juice and once they were punched in the mouth they never were able to get it goin on the two lines. I personally believe the Duck team that played OSU should have between UW by at least two scores. Not let themselves be pushed around
  13. We didn't win because we had far less desire than UW. Pretty simple. You gotta want it not just expect it.
  14. I have no idea if this is reality or not but it most certainly appeared UW WANTED to win and the urgency was reflected by their energy levels. Whereas Oregon seemed like they EXPECTED to win. Couple that with Bo probably being too amped up was not a good combo. Also, did the O and D lines seem way off in intensity? What a darn letdown. As a former D1 middle-distance runner I simply can't comprehend not giving your best in terms of mental focus especially against a rival that beat us 2 years in a row. And the ref blocking the pass and that guy coming out from out of bounds were two very odd plays. All in all that sucked.
  15. If I'm being honest, Beaver fan suffering pleases me more than seeing the Montlake Bundys fail.
