Miami (OH) Guard Peyton Scott Commits to Oregon Women's Basketball

Recommended Posts

Oregon has landed a verbal commitment from Peyton Scott of Miami (OH), a four-year starter with over 1800 career points.

A 5-foot-8 guard, Scott is graduate transfer with one year to play.

Scott enjoyed a storied four years at Miami. She was a three-time All-MAC selection and finished her time there with 1,871 career points to go with 368 assists and 217 steals. She averaged a career-high 21.2 points per game as a sophomore along with 5.2 assists per game (best among MAC players) and 2.7 steals per game (third best among MAC players).

This past season was her most efficient season, as she made 36.7 percent of three-point shots while averaging 15.4 points per game.

Oregon badly needed to add veteran guards this offseason after starters Endyia Rogers and Te-Hina Paopao each transferred. Scott and Williams are currently the team's only seniors and the only guards with collegiate starting experience other than Chance Gray.

With the post talent Oregon has coming back, that is exactly the type of guard the Ducks need. Kudos to KG.
