Can the Men and Women take the Pac?

Recommended Posts

We all know the coaching prowess of both men's and women's basketball teams. DA is a 20+ win season a year coach while KG is a turn a program around coach. Oregon should have won the Pac last year if it wasn't for the pandemic. Will the Ducks sweep the Pac this year?

It will be a lot harder for the Women, just because the competition is so much better, though the way Oregon competed, while Graves was still experimenting with player rotation, against UCLA & Stanford, certainly makes it look possible.

The Men started conference play with a close win over last place Washington, and of course lost in Colorado. There were parts of the other games when the Ducks weren't playing well, but they finished strong. This weekend the Ducks are at Arizona & ASU, the Wildcats & Sun Devils both coming off being swept by the LA schools. They will go a long way towards winning their half of the conference by keeping those losing streaks going.

Too true but even last place teams, especially Fuskies, don't want to lose to the Ducks on their own home court. They saw how Prichard "owned" them the four previous years.

Looks like KG is a lot more than a "turn a program around" coach. He turn it around a long time ago. Now he seems to be creating a dynasty.

Too true! He turn the Zags into a winning program. Came here and in two years with his recruitment of Sabrina and Ruthie made this a machine.

Probably why his pay raise and contract extension. Can't lose him to another higher bidder!
