That is exactly, and only how the NCAA, led by former Husky, Mark Emmert, operates now days. Instead of evolving to meet the realities of today's Collège sports, it holds tight to infractions like this. This is a very interesting article about a former Duck selling all his gear to make some money--and other fallout ramifications.
