Duckdude No. 2 Share Posted January 19 (edited) I walked in to the upper row of Autzen Stadium, and looked down on the field. The first play I saw as I walked to my seat: the Duck QB threw a 60 yard pass! I said to my buddy: “Damn! That guy’s good! Who is that?” He told me: “Dan Fouts”. Turns out I was a pretty good evaluator of talent! Edited January 19 by Duckdude
Charles Fischer Author Administrator No. 4 Share Posted January 19 OK...I do not think he was your QB when you were a freshman at Oregon, but that is a very cool GIF, BigDucksFan! Quote Mr. FishDuck
30Duck Moderator No. 5 Share Posted January 19 He wasn't the Quarterback my freshman year, but he WAS the quarterback in the first game I watched...and he was pretty good.

30Duck Moderator No. 9 Share Posted January 19 Back when you could spread a blanket out and take a nap at Autzen, Norv Turner was the quarterback.
Annie No. 11 Share Posted January 19 I didn't attend the UO (grew up in CT), but Jack Henderson was the quarterback in the first Duck game I ever saw, which was the Duck-Beav game in 1975.
criticalduck No. 12 Share Posted January 19 My QB was William Musgrave. But I have liked quite a few of them along the way.
RatherBe No. 13 Share Posted January 19 Dennis Dixon, narrows it down to two years. Not a bad time to start if I do say so. First game ever attended the QB was Akili.

He had winning teams in all three years starting for the Ducks and Len C. He had some great targets in Mel Renfro and Dave Wilcox. Qb'ed for another Duck in the pros, Norm Van Brocklin. Not too shabby.
FishIceCream No. 17 Share Posted January 20 One more for Musgrave. The one who was too smart to go into coaching!
Duckpop22 No. 20 Share Posted January 20 Charles and I may have been sitting together when Reggie Ogburn ran the veer option my first year in school. He was great...until it rained. Too bad it never rained in Autzen Stadium that year.
