These teams won't win the College Football Playoff, but they could have a huge impact on the national title winner

Why on earth anyone would pick Stanford is beyond me.

Oregons recent habit of stumbling against a middlin Stanford team has been embarrassing and I expect DL and the new and aggressive D to put a stake in them once and for all.

Slow, boring, and predictable.

But they have the refs on their side.  And Rod Gilmore

Stanford to South Bend, a short distance? "Only" a little over 2,000 miles?

That's what SC/UCLA are selling... By comparison, Furd's trip is shorter.  😀

BTW, my wife and I are hoping to make the same short trip to watch this game, if the airlines cooperate.   Last chance before our daughter graduates from ND!

Stanford has wrecked many Oregon seasons... And Oregon has gotten some revenge as well.

Stanford ruined Oregon's shot at the natty in 2012 and Oregon ruined Stanford's shot at the playoff in 2015.

In the same vein Oregon and Utah have both wrecked each other's shot at the playoff as well. Oregon destroyed Utah's shot in 2019 and Utah destroyed Oregon's shot last year... Though Oregon was such a battered and broken team by the end of the season I don't think they could have completed.
