Considering all the weirdness that usually happens when Oregon visits Cal, the Ducks have to be happy with a victory.

Let's hope injury is not serious.

Oregon Ducks wide receiver Chase Cota has been ruled out for the remainder of the game against the Cal Bears. Cota went out in the first quarter in what appears to be a knee/leg injury.

Ducks were able to put up points, but it still felt like a lackluster performance.

I would like to see Florence replace Bridges.

The game left like a let down. Just not a high energy game that we were all hoping for.

However, we did win and still scored more than 40 and there was no doubt in the end we were going to win.

Just wish we didn't give up 14 points to their back up QB.

I'm thinking that you and i, and probably a good number of Ducks fans, are returning to the Chip Kelly era mindset of expecting dominant blowout games week by week. I had the same lackluster feeling that you did, at times with the offense, and the last half of the fourth quarter with the defense ( though I thought they looked greatly improved for the rest of the game). I think, at the end of the day, when your favorite team has a somewhat lackluster performance on the road and still wins by 18, your favorite team is very, very good.

Easily left points on the field. I feel we probably should have taken a couple field goals and been fine with it.

In truth you can eat Cal with field goals and I feel we should have taken a couple of those and been fine with it.

I thought allowing the backup QB to look like a Heisman candidate was part of the Oregon brand, like their uniforms.

Yeah but the backup QB is usually scoring against the second or third string units.  Millner did it against Dorlus and the first string guys which is more impressive.  If they subbed him in earlier, Cal might of stood a chance to hand the Ducks their first conference loss.

Ducks let down by failure to maximize red zone opportunities

Saturday's press conference was a little more subdued than one would expect following a three-score conference road win. Yes, the Ducks

amasses 586 against one of their stingiest rivals, but the 42 point total could've easily reached 50. Nobody has ever topped 45 against Wilcox.

"We just kind of again, shot ourselves in the foot at times. I didn't play my best today," Nix said after completing

77-percent of his passes and accounting for six total touchdowns.

"It was probably a good thing that happened to us," Lanning said. "We probably got humbled a little bit, and it's an opportunity

for us to go work at it and see if we can move the pile on the next team."

and rush for three scores in the same game, joining Ohio State's Dwayne Haskins (2018) and Iowa State's Brock Purdy (2019).

Oregon extended its winning streak to seven games as quarterback Bo Nix's ran for three touchdowns and threw for three more in the Ducks' convincing 42-24 victory over Cal on Saturday.

Cal's Defensive Performance vs. Oregon Possibly its Worst Under Justin Wilcox

But the 586 total yards piled up by quarterback Bo Nix and the Oregon offense were the most given up in 62 games with Wilcox at the helm.

The Ducks had 31 first downs, averaged 7.8 yards per snap and 15.3 on each pass completion. That came as a result of 195 yards after catch.

The Ducks ran up 586 total yards -- more than any Cal foe the past six seasons.
