Oregon starts the season as the No. 21 ranked team in the country. It’s the ninth time UO starts the season ranked.


N’Faly Dante’s achieved sixth career double-double (16 pts, 10 rebounds) vs. Florida A&M. Dante has 10+ rebounds in each of his last three games dating back to last season. In addition to his double-double, Dante also notched a career-best four steals in the last game. Dante blocked 5 shots in two of the last three games, closing the season with back-to-back 10-rebound efforts.


Freshman Kel’el Ware scored eight points and blocked three shots in his debut. Kel’el Ware was a McDonald’s All-American and won a gold medal with team USA U18. Freshman Kel’el Ware ranked among the nations top recruits, coming in at 6th in the final 247Sports individual rankings.

 

UO returns three starters from last season. N’Faly Dante, Quincy Guerrier and Will Richardson are all back in Eugene.

Richardson enters the season on the preseason All-Pac 12 first team for the third consecutive season. Will Richardson is in his fifth season with Oregon. He’s played in 116 games for the Ducks, making 72 starts. Richardson entered the season ranking ninth all time at Oregon in both assists (336) and steals (141).

 

Guerrier is the only one of the three to start all 35 games for the Ducks last season.

 

Senior Rivaldo Soares joined Quincy Guerrier as the only returners from last season to play in all 35 games.

Sophomore Nate Bittle blocked 16 shots in 23 games played last season.


Keeshawn Barthelemy played two seasons at Colorado (11.1pts, 2.4 reb, 2.4 ast last season).

 

JuCo transfer Tyrone Williams avg. 27.7 ppg in 2021-22.

Ducks will look to take another step in matchup vs UC-Irvine Friday night

 

No. 21 ranked Oregon men's basketball will play its second game of the regular season Friday evening

when they host UC-Irvine in a contest that should challenge the Ducks.

 

This year the Anteaters have been picked fourth in the Big West and will look to contend for their league's title.

Just like last year, this team can't shoot, awful offense.

 

Completely embarrassing performance right now, just atrocious, getting blown out right now by Irvine!

No. 21 Oregon men's basketball suffers blowout loss at home to unranked UC Irvine

 

The Ducks lost to the Anteaters 69-46 to drop to 1-1 on the season. The loss will undoubtedly go down as one of the worst in the Dana Altman era.

"We got beat in every facet of the game. Hustle, Toughness. We had a number of practices that resembled that," said Oregon head coach Dana Altman.

 

"I was fearful that at some point in time that would come. They were the aggressor right from the start.

Ducks Blitzed In Loss To UC Irvine...The Oregon men trailed most of the night Friday in a 69-56 loss to UC Irvine.

 

The Oregon men's basketball team suffered its first defeat of the 2022-23 season Friday, a 69-56 loss to UC Irvine

in which the Ducks led for only 7 seconds and trailed by as many as 27 before 6,454 fans in Matthew Knight Arena.
