Updated betting odds for No. 10 Oregon vs. No. 22 Oregon State

The line has shifted from Oregon being a 4.5-point favorite to a 3.5-point favorite over the last 24 hours. The line hasn't moved like

it did last week, as the Ducks went from a six-point favorite to a three-point underdog with the uncertainty surrounding Nix.

Per the 247Sports Team Talent Composite, Oregon State has the 10th-most talented roster in the Pac-12,

and are the 54th most talented team in the country.

The Beavers carry eight former blue chip recruits (four and five-stars), none of which are of the five-star variety.

Today we run through that talent and where it resides on this Oregon State team.

So, take a look at which OSU players you should know based upon their recruiting rankings.

Lanning provides injury updates heading into rivalry week against No. 22 Oregon State

Oregon is certainly not the only team dealing with the injury bug as the regular season draws to a close.

Still, many main players remain questionable as the Ducks head to Corvallis this weekend.

"Yeah, I'm not talking about injuries," said head coach Dan Lanning at his weekly press conference on Monday.

Lanning did talk about quarterback Bo Nix and his continued rehab from an injury and how the

senior quarterback would work towards playing in a second straight week.

Oregon State football: Smith hopeful on injury front, it’s Ben Gulbranson’s job for remainder of season

Oregon State’s list of injuries isn’t as long as it was a week ago, but it remains hefty.

Hit hard by injuries in their 38-10 win over California on Nov. 12, the Beavers

returned some of those players last Saturday against Arizona State.

More than a handful remain sidelined, though coach Jonathan Smith believes

that list could dwindle when OSU plays host to Oregon.

Lanning sees 'some similarities and differences' in Oregon State's offense when compared to Utah

Oregon State has performed well this season, as the change to Ben Gulbranson

at quarterback has led the Beavers to a 5-1 record in his six starts.

Oregon State is 0-3 this season against ranked teams, their lone three losses of the season, losing to Utah, USC, and Washington.

However, with the playstyle the Beavers present, a West Coast power offense,

and stingy physical defense, the Ducks are preparing for a similar matchup as last week against Utah.

Well, Washington beat us (ugh!) but barely and USC we haven't played (yet!).  So as a marker we have Utah only to compare with.  We struggled with Utah and almost lost that one (though with an injured QB).  The Beavers lost a tough one in Salt Lake while we got them at home.  They also lost a tough one in Seattle by the same margin we lost by - at home.

Yeah, the Beavers are gonna be tough to beat - but then, they always are.  This year they have the horses to make life even more miserable for Oregon again.  But, not to lose faith: I'm picking Oregon but only by about the same margin as the odds-makers, 4.5 points.

QB Nix on late-game sideline conversation: 'I think those are needed in important situations'

"Bo brought the whole offense up and told us we needed to pick everything up," said Dont'e Thornton after the game on Saturday.

"And clear our mind, play fast like we were playing at the beginning of the game. He felt like we were slowing down or playing slow to Utah's level.

After Bo said that, he didn't have to say anything else. We went out there and did it." Thornton acknowledged that it

wasn't the first time Nix had taken the offense aside and talked with them, and at this moment, it was necessary.

Steven Jones glad to be back from injury, open to coaching future after time away

Steven Jones suffered a left mid-foot sprain in the Sept. 10 win over Eastern Washington.

"I almost tore my lisfranc," he said of an injury that is often times season-ending.

While unable to practice, Jones picked up a new moniker from the coaching staff. Due to his involvement in getting

his teammates ready, they began referring to him as "coach Jones". It's a title he thinks might ultimately stick.

"That really got me a sense of how coaching might feel," he said. "That might be a pathway that I want to look into after."

Ryan Walk feared his injury vs Washington was season-ending, luckily he was back on the field vs Utah

In the first half against Washington two weeks ago, Walk got rolled up on, and at first, he feared the worst when the injury happened.

"I thought my season might have been over. Looking at the clip, I am pretty fortunate I didn't do anything worse," said Walk.

A week later, Walk started at center against the Utes and played one of his better games this season.

Pro Football Focus graded Walk at 67.1 this past week, a jump of nine points from the previous week against Washington.

5 Beavers to watch for if Oregon wants to leave Corvallis victorious

With a win, the Ducks will reach the 10-win mark in Dan Lanning’s first season as head coach

and earn a trip to Las Vegas to play No. 5 USC for the Pac-12 championship.

But in order to secure a matchup with the Trojans, the Ducks will have to pay close attention to these five Beavers.

There’s nothing Oregon State would love more than to spoil the Ducks’ conference title hopes and they won’t go down without a fight.

It’ll be a war on the gridiron. It’ll be a civil war of sorts.

Ducks defense looking to maintain its physicality against Beaver offense

Saturday presents another high-shining moment for Oregon's defense as they take on in-state rival No. 21 Oregon State.

The Beavers are led by redshirt freshman quarterback Ben Gulbranson, who, unlike Penix,

will not be throwing over 50 times in this contest. Instead, Gulbarson will serve as a game manager.

Gulbranson has thrown for over 200 yards just twice in a game this season and attempted more than 25 passes once.

Oregon State will look to run the ball as they average nearly 200 yards a night, suitable enough for fourth best in the Pac-12.

Dan Lanning gives insight into what's made Kenny Dillingham so impactful at Oregon

"He's done a great job in a leadership role, obviously there for the entire offense," Lanning said of Dillingham's role.

that side of the ball, every one of those players, every one of those coaches.

But Kenny does a phenomenal job day in and day out and preparing his side,

really collaborating with his coaches, he would tell you, it's a group effort."

Can Oregon Ducks slow Jack Colletto, Oregon State’s short-yardage run game?

Oregon State leaves little doubt about its plan of attack on short-yardage: Run.

The No. 22 Beavers (8-3, 5-3 Pac-12) have 31 carries for 145 yards and three touchdowns and 22 first downs

on third-and-three-or-less compared just three pass attempts when facing such a short distance to convert.

Yet even when opponents know full well what’s coming, especially when Jack Colletto enters

at quarterback, OSU still manages to churn out yards and move the chains at a very high rate.

DuckTerritory's staff picks for No. 9 Oregon at No. 21 Oregon State

"I think we're playing some of the best coach teams that at the end of the season here,

I think it shows up," Oregon head coach Dan Lanning said of this weekend's game.

Certainly, a little bit more big personnel at times, 12, 21, some bigger personnel groups offensively that's a little bit different.

Then defense right now, they're really rolling they create some really unique looks. They incorporated

some simulated pressures that are tough, but they just play really sound and physical."
