Sucks to see tOSU at #4 after such a hard fought game in the semi-final.

Sucks to see EwwDub crack the top 10 (8), even though they probably deserve it 🤮

I feel like the Pac12/10 was well represented, even though 4 teams ended with a bowl loss. (looking and laughing at you LA schools! 🤣)

Next year is gonna be a fun one, especially when USC & UCLA will be in their last year. 🎯

Now to settle in for the long off season. Thank heavens for this place!

Oregon in 2023 is viewed by most as a Top 10 team in preseason Top 25 rankings

Ten national outlets have ranked the Oregon Ducks in their Way Too Early Top 25 rankings

and their average ranking among the ten has Oregon sitting with a ranking of 10.6.

Here are the rankings individually, starting from highest to lowest:

The 2022 college football season is over and that means we now turn our attention toward the 2023 college football season. What...

Pretty fair, I think tOSU would destroy TCU fwiw.  Did anyone see that article about how 2021 had a record number of teams in the pre-season top-25 that didn't finish in the top 25?  15 teams I think?  Then, 2022...beat it by one (16 teams?).

Too many of us will click on stuff all winter spring and summer because we love college football, but I still vote for no polls until week 5.  At least with a playoff committee the right teams probably get in most of the time, whereas the BCMess often formulated bias caused by a team being higher ranked in August (or more specifically, lower) than when it counted in December.

A lot of these "way too early" polls are predicated too much on how things ended this year...some right, some way off.  We win the Pac at 12-1 or 13-0 and we are probably in...just fix that D and keep the offense rolling!  Bo for Heismann '23, GO DUCKS

Just saw the article you referred to. It is posted below. Agreed, you need to take these way too early polls with a grain of salt.

For the second year in a row, a record number of teams that started the season ranked in the AP Top 25 finished unranked.

Good to see 6 Pac 12 teams in the top 25. That's a lot more respect than we have been given lately.

If those who shall not be mentioned would have stuck it out, our media rights deal would be a lot more than what it was looking like a year ago.

Two teams in the top 10; four teams in the top 15???  That's pretty good.

SEC has 3 in the top 10 and still only 3 in the top 15.   OOOoooo, the PAC has more teams in the top 15 than the SEC does.

The B1G has the same, 3 in the top 10 and only 3 in the top 15.

Oregon has best finish in AP poll since 2019; Oregon State since 2000

Oregon finished its highest in the final AP poll since 2019, when they were No. 5 after

going 12-2 under former head coach Mario Cristobal.

For the Beavers, this is the first time they were ranked in a season’s final AP poll since

the 2012 season, when they finished No. 20 after going 9-4 under former head coach Mike Riley.
