Big Ten Commissioner Kevin Warren to be Named Chicago Bears President, CEO

Recommended Posts

"Warren, who succeeded Jim Delany, made two massive moves in 2022 for the future of the conference. The first is the league's addition of USC and UCLA as the next wave of conference realignment. The second came Aug. 18 with a new media rights deal."

Going for greener pastures, really, at the expense of the Pac 12.  His acquisition of the Southern California schools was able to help get the big media rights deal.  In turn helped him to move up into the Pros becoming the president and CEO of the Chicago Bears.

I read one article where the B1G TEN did not offer him an extension.  A lot of the AD's who hired Kevin are gone, it sounded like he was not going to get an extension.  So, rather than being let go, he left.  Smart move.

He sounds like a commissioner version of Willie Taggart.
