  1. I think Izzo Hurley-ed the refs with his tirades!  The refs called things they weren't calling in the first half, mostly on the ducks.  Does anyone really think the ducks had a chance on MSUs home court the way they've been playing...nope!  I'm encouraged or at least hoping they learned something on this road trip!  I expected they'd get blown out both games!

Typical Altman team.  Backs against the wall.  Now is the time to to start playing with urgency(hopefully) like they usually do this time of year.

I'll be honest, I don't follow high school careers like some of you on here but I trust the "experts" and their * system.

I've always wanted a big Julio Jones, Mike Evens sort of receiver the ducks could count on to muscle up and make big plays when called upon!  I thought Jurrion was gonna be that person when a saw his size and "five star" rating.

Watching Odunze and then Smith this year completely outmuscle our smaller DBS in crunch time the last two years was painful!  It's so easy to see it coming too?

I sure hope Jurrion said "I can be that guy the team can count on next year" and overcome whatever is holding him back.  I'm selfishly rooting for him to have a breakout year!  I think that would take OBD on a deep run into the playoffs.

I also hope our incoming DB units lay some of these receivers out (legally of course) and make opposing receivers understand that it's gonna hurt each time they catch a ball next year.  The good hits the last two years have been few and far between unlike the Patrick Chung, John Boyett days!

  3. I find this to be very interesting!  Is Day trying to weaken the Ducks by taking some of the ducks top assistants?  Is he not good enough to recognize coaching talent at a lower level college and bring them up "his way" like DL?  Does he think we're tOSU with enough money to get who we want at any cost!  Maybe he's just lazy and doesn't want to work hard to bring in his guys in!

I think it might be a little of all the above.  I think it shows me a lot about his character as a coach as well.  It looked like he wanted to kick the players butts who dumped water on him after the championship!  I doubt he's smiled since the win...kidding but he looks like he's sucked a lot of lemons in his life!

  4. A recipe for disaster!!  Two people with heads bigger than AT&T Stadium.  I've told people the Cowboys won't win another championship while Jerry's the owner for years!  Add Shadur...eesh!!

If Jerry wants publicity, Deion's the man.  If he wants to win, he should shut up and let someone like an Aaron Glenn take over and stay out of the way!  Jerry couldn't do that with Jimmy, you think he'll do it 30 years later?

Someone on here said Troy was in Payton's doghouse at the beginning of the year.  I was excited see the Bo/Troy reunited TD early in the game today and thought maybe he was out of the doghouse.

The rest of the game...not so good!  Dropped pass, penalty, and apparent missed assignment Payton was obviously livid about.  I feel sorry for the kid.  I know it's the league deal with it but I still want him to succeed!

I'll be rooting for him and Bo to be a big addition for the Broncos even though I'll be rooting for Justin and my hometown SAN DIEGO Chargers against them.

I'm just curious who some of you would like to see Coach Lanning match up against and why?  There was a post the other day talking about Dan vs. Kirby with great insight.  Of course that would be fun to see how DL matches up this time around.

There are some other fun ones imo...Kenny, Dabo, Day, Sark, etc.  I would've really loved it if Deion, Kalen, or Mario got in to make it really interesting!!  Wouldn't hurt my feelings if any one of those guys got their butt beat!

As for me I think I'd love to see Kenny and DL go at it.  Kenny's done an amazing job at ASU.  I think it would be a match up of great young minds, not to mention Kenny being the first of (sadly because I love this staff) MANY from the DL coaching tree to go off on their own!

Purchase got passed in the rotation by Jaedon Moore, No. 56 who got a sack in the game. We have had as many as 12 Edge rushers, and it stands to reason that whoever is not playing will transfer.  I am sad about it too, but Lanning is simply trying to recruit tons of great players, find out who is best and play them, while the others can transfer.

Since Lanning has recruited more Edge rushers last year, this year, and yet after another before the February signing--I am assuming that Blake is on his way out.  Sorry.

Jaedon Moore No. 56 and Derrick Harmon No. 55 who blocks a pass_Eric Becker.jpg

Good to know!  Yep I agree with the reasoning and figured that was the case.  Best man wins.  Thinking the same way with Dickey in the receiver room!  Again it just means the talent pool is so rich.

  8. I have hardly seen Blake Purchase on the field this year.  I was expecting him to be a beast after what I saw last year.  I'm not sure what's up, maybe he's injured, but if he isn't seeing the field, the front 7 is beyond loaded imo.  I hope he sticks around and doesn't leave so we can enjoy his talents moving forward!

Thanks for bringing this up. Sappington at 86% is very comforting, and if for some reason a +50 yarder is the play, Boyle is ready. But hopefully OBD will be a lot of kickoff's in the coming games and keeping them inbounds can't be overstated.

Yes I failed to mention this as well.  I think Boyle kicked it out of bounds immediately after making the long field goal!🤦🏻‍♂️

This question has been rattling around in my head for a while.  As the B1G championship and playoffs approach us, I have a strong feeling FGs are going to come into play big time.

As a long time fan, my anxiety level always increases a bit when the field goal unit comes out.  I've been more confident with Sappington this year and about dropped dead seeing a 51 yarder that probably would've been good from 60 Boyle drilled at the beginning of the year.  It still makes me nervous though!

I hope DL has the confidence necessary to put 3 on the board and take points this playoff season.  I think every point will be crucial!  I think it's very possible it could be a final drive decision to boot!

What do y'all think?  Can you give me a reason to be less anxious!

I know Mark Helfrich is a good guy but man is he tough to listen to as a color commentator!!  I saw the Ducks vs. Them video from the Michigan game today!  Man was that inspiring!  I had no idea why the time out was called at the end of the game and the thumbs down thing.  As I was watching, I was thinking, man that thumbs down thing is probably not so wise!  Only to find out it was motivation from Gladiator...Brilliant!!

I just don't see Mark having the vision to do things like this!!  I feel like I have to turn the TV up just to hear his commentary!  Obviously we all know that DL is the real deal and plans on being in Eugene for a long time!  I have no inside info on Marks pre game speeches but if they are like his commentary, I'd probably take a nap!!  DL obviously knows how to motivate and keep his players focused on the big picture as well as teaching them the value of being respectful young men.  The players obviously appreciate his and his staffs leadership as well!!

  12. Of the last three tds opponents have scored.  One by an ill advised penalty that kept Illinois on the field, another by a short field!  Three games, 27 points I believe plus the hurt they are putting on players...wow!  I'm more confident in this d than any other time in duck memory!

    capitalize titles

Just tuned in for the second half of tosu.  Mr. Predictable is at it again.  Gawd their offense is doing everything to lose this game but Huskers can't capitalize.  osu fans might be coming after him if they lose this game as they should.

I've looked at USC teams the last several years as the glamorous, flashy team that had preseason hype, rankings and 4 and 5* players all over.  They could just show up and win without preparation and discipline.

I saw that starting to happen with Slick Willie and Mario.  I was excited to think DL was going to change that.  The first two games look like this that needs to be figured out and really fast!

The kid the Ducks were in the hunt for but eventually went to tOSU...JT Tuimalaou (sorry if I butchered his name), he's a beast and will dominate against the current o-line in autzen.  Maybe get 4 sacks himself!

On the positive side the DBS are playing better than anything I've seen in recent years!
