  1. Charles, yes, I am having a bit too much fun with this, because I love our Sco Ducks!  You shouldn't be feeling snookered, because Coach Cristobal has our squad positioned towards a deep playoff run. He doesn't make excuses when we lose, and he always notes our necessary improvements after each win. Our weekly 1-0 mentality. Stays even-keeled win or lose. Doesn't get too up or down with each win or loss. Very calm.  Focuses on each opponent one game at a time. The mark of a true Oregon HC, like our other legendary Oregon HCs. Sco Ducks!

  2. Steven A, yes, after upsetting Buckeyes Nation at the Big House, we have ultimately achieved our goal of being the Clemson of the ACC. We upset a top-five team, as a road-duck. Clemson used to own the ACC, as a perennial playoff & championship contender. We've supplanted them, by owning the PAC-12, while making our case, for being the new playoff & championship contender, for 2021 & beyond, despite our upset loss to "The Tree" last Saturday at Stanford. We're the new kids on the block, not the 80s - 90s pop group, but a bunch of young ducklings that have matured into a flock of grown ducks. Sco Ducks!

  3. Mike West, everyone associated with our Sco Ducks! should ensure that Coach Cristobal's annual salary is gradually increased, along with his retirement plans at Oregon, because as a former Cane from "Da U!", he's brought " Da U!" to "Da O!" and made us UO.  He loves it here. His family loves it here. He loves coaching here. This is his home. His players love him as their head coach. Both our President & UO love his results. We as Sco Ducks! Fans should fully support him, because he's a top-five college football HC, and every open HC job at the college and pro level annually target him at their top HC candidate. Sco Ducks!

Mario is able to recruit because of Oregon's past and what he is selling. The Oregon Ducks of 2021 aren't what they were in the past and I am not sure what he is selling.

Oregon's recruits are drawn to becoming the next DAT, ask multiple Ducks who they grew up watching and they will say DAT. The plethora of Duck qb's and one we didn't recruit, Tua, grew up idolizing Marcus and more recently they want to be the next Justin. The hurry up, massive scoring teams are what Mario is able to leverage with these recruits.

What he is selling, obviously extends beyond the offense. He has recruited extremely well at LB and other positions, but I really wonder what kind of picture does he sell these kids?

The real question is what is Mario selling and does it align with what he is producing? I know we have heard him talk about improving upon the past. I wonder what he is telling the recruits. It has worked up to this point.

    Haywarduck, DAT?

There is already talk brewing about that in this article, and I would imagine that Jim Leavitt would grab it in a second.  (But would he move his family?) 🙄

I told a number of people to watch out for SMU this year, as they are currently undefeated and the combination of Leavitt as DC and Sonny Dykes running the offense (remember at Cal with Jared Goff?) could be a potent combination...and it is.  Thoughts?

Charles, I keep hearing Coach Franklin as SC's first choice for the job.

  6. Mike, we spent so much time focusing on beating the Bucks, that we emptied our gas tank, and exhausted everything in that game.  There's way too many injuries, we're too far behind in the rankings/standings, and the PAC-12 competition is getting more stiffer each game because every team has tape on us.  We need to focus on Coach Cristobal recruiting more talent, so we know the cupboard's not bare.  I'm focused on Cal.  And a NY6 Bowl game.

Mike I expected this. Stanford is Oregon's kryptonite.

I was ticked off on Stanford's TD when O interference was not called.  A clear 2 hand push off.

    jega? Parity or parody?

Autzen, yes as to the best shot from others. I think the more salient question is whether Oregon will give other teams its best shot?

Let's see how it plays out but I think the Ducks beat the best team in the B1G on the road. And every opponent gives the Buckeyes its best shot.

Jon, both. The parity of Oregon derives from PAC-12 parody.

I could have handled an ugly win last week.  But to see so much hot dog behavior and lackluster effort still has me fuming.

Brown really can't deliver us a title, but his poor performance was minimal compared to the sheer lack of will to bury the Cardinal like we should have (despite his limited skills).

    Thoughts?

Mike, My thoughts are the PAC-12 is the nation's most competitive conference every Saturday, because on any given weekend, any team in our conference, especially Oregon, is beatable.
