Do you miss Dye?  Verdell?  I wish them well, but I'm excited with the talent and depth we have at the RB position!

Whittington and Irving have experience.  They all have speed and vision.  Lanning and Locklyn have excelled at stocking this position with skilled players!

As Oregon approaches the two-month mark until fall camp begins, they are expected to have three scholarship quarterbacks on the roster. Despite...

  2. I would imagine the athlete who did this would have a very low ceiling for improvement in college.  A 17 year old Sophomore has a physical and mental advantage over 15 year old class mates.

I can't see a lot of college coaches wasting a scholarship on this type of recruit.  I would want to see him compete in camps against other same age elite athletes.

I doubt he would do well in that competition!

  3. Another viewpoint from the competition in Las Vegas.

Here’s what 247Sports’ Andrew Ivins wrote of Dickey after Friday’s game:

“(Brandon) Inniss might have filled the stat sheet Friday, but no one seemed to make as many ‘wow’ catches as Dickey, who also looked the part Thursday. On tape, Dickey looks extremely athletic, but up close and in person you can just see how twitchy he is as he fires out of his stance and gets to work. What’s also notable about Dickey’s two-day performance is the fact that he has kind of emerged as a real WR1 for the Miami Immortales, who also have some other blue-chip skill players on the roster.”

  4. Thanks Alex for writing about "the need for speed".  Like you I feel Our Beloved Ducks are primed to explode this season!

I'm looking for Cardwell, Dollars, and Whittington to surpass Verdell and Dye.  I know McGee and Hutson will give defenses fits all season. Thornton, Franklin, and Cota will go deep and will stretch the field.

Our  tight ends  Matavao, Ferguson, and Webb will bring that position back to a passing threat.   They will be like Dickson, Pelle, Wrighster, and Breeland - past receiving threats!

I have confidence that our good linemen under the tutelage of Coach Klemm will make this all possible.

Speed kills!  Our Ducks are built for speed!

Among Friday's highlights, Micah Williams tied the No. 2 performance (9.86) in collegiate history at 100 meters.

Lots of experience on the line.  I'm looking forward to seeing the improvements Coach Klemm will make!
