Duck pitchers walked 11 Beaver batters in last night's game. Put another runner on base hitting the batter. The catcher sent another OSU player to first base when his glove contacted the bat for "catchers interference". That is the equivalent of 13 singles! The root cause is falling behind in the pitch count. Even Coach Waz brought it up during an "in game interview" with the TV announcers. I know all our starting pitchers are new to the situation this year, and we lost a starter to injury for the season, but the pitchers have to challenge the batters they are facing. Rant over

9th inning; Ducks are down to their last three outs. Josh Kasevich up first for Oregon and he draws a leadoff walk. Anthony Hall, batting next, falls behind 0-2 and strikes out swinging.
