That's the only reasonable answer I can come up with also.. Or Alabama doesn't have the depth at RB it has every season. If it's simply the hoarding of talent, I'd be lying, if I said i'd be suprised if that's the true reason.

If Alabama is as "stacked" at the RB position as you claim, why did they feel the need to sign Jahmar Gibbs from the transfer portal? A team stacked at a position has no need to use the portal to obtain a player..

Such tragic news, my prayers are with his family, and all those associated with Mr. Webb. 50+ year UGA fan hoping Georgia honors this young man by wearing Mr. Webb's jersey number as a helmet sticker, or another way to show support. Such sad news for the DUCK Nation, my deepest condolences.
