Prayers for PD for a speedy recovery

Favorite sports are football and MBB. The others, it just depends if there is something that piques my interest, such as a freakishly good athlete - an example would be WBB, when Sabrina Ionescu was playing for OBD.

IDK what to think - I wouldn't be surprised if DL is as good as gone. 'Bama and Georgia are the jobs that we all knew DL has a high probability of bolting for if they opened up.

Come to think of it, I never thought we would find another offense as "Stone Age" as Mario's - but lo and behold, I think we found one that's probably even worse lol
That said, if TT does end up in Iowa, totally rooting for the kid to lift Iowa's O out of the Stone Age - except when playing against OBD of course -
I say cancel the agreement and put Texas Tech back on the schedule. Forget Oregon State.

I am would throw Justin Herbert into that mix also. Between Mariota and Herbert, we had Vernon Adams who was developed elsewhere and the Dakota Prukop experiment that paved the way for Herbert.
Herbert started as QB2 behind Prukop but then was thrown into it as a freshman.
Oh yes - thanks for correcting my post! How could I have forgotten about Herbert lol!

I just hope that the Ducks' ability to recruit QB's is not damaged down the road.
Just concerned that in the future, good QB's coming out of high school may have second thoughts about coming to Oregon as they will probably think they'll just be riding the bench anyways in favor of someone coming in through the TP and thus will hardly get a chance to start, if ever.
It's a Catch-22 situation, balancing decisions between the "win now" mantra vs possibly going through some seasons with maybe 3-4 losses while the QB develops. Probably the last QB we had that was developed by Oregon was Marcus Mariota.
-
Sad to see this but totally understandable. Hope he lands at a program that is willing to take a chance and make him the starting QB.

Without Caleb, I think USC loses this game. Louisville isn't exactly a walk in the park.
IMHO, Caleb Williams IS the reason why USC is 7-5, albeit way short of expectations - instead of something like 3-9.

It is what it is. At least OBD get a chance to play in a New Year's Day bowl game. Although Liberty is probably not a "sexy" enough opponent for most of us, you know that they are really hyped up for this game and will play lights out against us.
Just want OBD to play lights out as well, hopefully close out this season on a great note with a victory and look forward to creating havoc in the B1G next season. Go Ducks!

Regardless of whether the regular Duck starters decide to suit up or not, sadly Oregon has to win this game.
A loss would basically give a black eye to the Duck program, and who knows what other collateral damage may result.

Awesome. Hopefully Bo playing will encourage other Duck players who were thinking of sitting out to suit up as well.

These big game losses hurt. 0-3 to uw. We wasted the entire 1st quarter, managed to win the middle 8, then collapsed. Burch going out on the first series was a killer for our D. But, we got out coached all the way around. Why did we onside kick with 2:14 and all 3 timeouts? Why?
Im heart broken.
I know a loss is a loss, but it's not like we were blown out by UW in any of our previous games under DL.
I was thinking the same thing about the onside kick. However, even if the ball was kicked deep, the way UW's passing game was going, and our D seemingly having no answer for it, that would have just delayed the inevitable unfortunately IMHO. Plus UW's offense is that good that they can score a TD literally in just one play.

UW's passing attack was just too good. And it didn't help that our starting DB's were out.
-
Still keeping the faith lol. Remember the North Carolina and Wazzu games where everything seemed hopeless.
-
Come on now D! Let's stop Penix and the UW WR's!
-
Let's go Ducks! We need a TD and then another stop on D!
-
That's ok. Let's just get another stop. Come on D!

Ferg is playing huge!!!
Jordan James is looking better than Bucky. Stick with him!
Agree. Stick with the RB that has the hot hand right now.

The D really needs an answer for UW's passing game, which admittedly, is a monumental task. Hope OBD come out on fire in the 2nd half.

OBD has been in situations like this before. Still keeping the faith. Basically, adjustments all around are needed for 2nd half.

At least OBD got something out of this last drive and the D got a little breather. Time to start making adjustments now.

Ducks looking out of rhythm on both sides of the ball right now. They just need to settle down - but definitely need to score on this next possession.
