Prediction: Oregon to Land Major Offensive Weapon in 2024

The Ducks are poised for a monster weekend on the recruiting trail as they're the favorites to land 2024 quarterback Michael Van Buren and defensive lineman Xadavien Sims.

But even more good news is likely on the way.

Today I'm logging a prediction for Oregon to land 2024 San Jacinto (Calif.) wide receiver Dillon Gresham.

Confidence meter: 8/10 Gresham is slated to make his college commitment on Monday May 22 at 9 am PST.

EXPLAINING THE PICK Gresham flew a little under the radar recently, but that really changed this spring. His most recent trip to Eugene in April looks like it really moved the needle in his recruitment.

Junior Adams has not so quietly become one of the best recruiters on Oregon's staff and has proven to be a major asset on the trail, especially for top talent in his native state of California. Gresham hasn't quite attracted the national attention that Jordan Anderson and Tyseer Denmark have in their recruitments, but that's perfectly fine with the Ducks.

They've made him a big priority in the 2024 class. While they had some real momentum for other targets like Aaron Butler, another elite wide receiver out of Southern California, his relationship with Deion Sanders really pushed that one over the edge.

But Oregon stayed involved with Gresham and that looks like it's going to pay off in a big way. He's also good friends with Anderson, who's been one of Oregon's biggest recruiters from the moment he committed in December.

Furthermore, the coaching staff has deep ties to the talent hotbed of Southern California and they're going to continue returning for top talent for years to come.

Gresham has been insanely productive on the field during his high school career and he should be a very strong addition to this class. His commitment would give the Ducks three wide receivers in 2024 and I think they still would like to add a big-bodied pass catcher at the position.
