Top-Ranked Recruits React to Successful Junior Day Weekend in Eugene

Dan Lanning and the Oregon Ducks hosted almost 30 high school recruits on campus over the past weekend for their annual Junior Day, and based on some of the early returns, it appears that things were quite successful.

 

While we haven’t seen any commitments come just yet, there is buzz about a few that could be on the docket in the coming hours or days.

 

As players start to leave town and head back home, an outpouring of reactions has come on social media, with pictures of uniform photo shoots and meetings with coaches are being posted to social media.

Ducks Lead for Elite RB Dierre Hill Jr. Following First Oregon Visit

 

Oregon hosted its first of two Junior Days over the weekend and had a number of top 2025 prospects on campus.

5-Star Faheem Delane Has Oregon in Top Group Following Visit

 

The top safety in the 2025 class was in Eugene over the weekend as Olney (Md.) Our Lady Good Counsel defensive back Faheem Delane took his first trip to Eugene.

 

The 6-foot-2, 190-pound junior spoke with Ducks Digest about the highlights from his time with the Ducks.

 

"They were just talking about how they're trying to build a top defense and they're already a top-10 defense and top-10 offense," Delane said."

 

Coach (Tosh) Lupoi and Coach (Dan) Lanning coming from 'Bama and Georgia, they know what good defense looks like. That was definitely a big plus."

 

A lot of recruits take these visits with the hope of soaking up the wealth of football knowledge college coaches have to offer and that was Delane's favorite part of the trip...

Three Schools Standing out for LaVar Arrington II

 

Arrington is one of Oregon's top defensive targets in the 2025 class and is fresh off a trip to Eugene.

 

Oregon has made a habit of recruiting and signing the top defensive recruits on the West Coast and the expectation is that will continue in the 2025 cycle under head coach Dan Lanning. 

 

2025 Covina (Calif.) Charter Oak ATH LaVar Arrington II, the son of legendary Penn State linebacker LaVar Arrington, took his first trip to Eugene over the weekend and spoke with Ducks Digest about that trip.
