Dave23 No. 2 Share Posted February 24 This team is looking pretty good out of the gate. A lot of depth at pitcher and some guys that can put the bat on the ball. They played a top 20 team and kept it respectful. Despite giving up 6 runs in the 2nd they fought back to with in 1 before ultimately losing 11-7. Texas Tech had some impressive pitching and the Ducks O was still looking pretty good. The Ducks have the markings of a good team this year hope they improve on the impressive season they had last year.

NJDuck Author Moderator No. 6 Share Posted February 26 How Sweep It Is The Ducks played their first home games of the season at PK Park this weekend. Hosting the Lafayette Leopards, Oregon hoped to get back on track after its loss to Texas Tech. To say the Ducks got back on track would be an understatement, in the first game of the season in Eugene, Oregon scored at least one run in every inning. Earning its first home victory of the year, Oregon dominated the offensive game. Earning 17 runs on 14 hits, Lafayette couldn’t find an answer to the Ducks’ hot bats. The Leopards rotated through six of their pitchers but Oregon simply couldn’t be tamed. Oregon pitcher RJ Gordon was awarded the win after staying on the mound for 6 innings. Gordon allowed just 1 run from 3 hits and struck out 4 batters. Saturday held a doubleheader for the two teams and head coach Mark Wasikowski wasn’t taking his foot off the gas.
