Solar No. 1 Share Posted January 2 (edited) If you showed people this stat line before the game nobody would believe you. There were no penalty issues, no big special teams plays and zero turnovers. Time of possession and 3rd down conversion percentages were the same. We had 19 possessions on offense and came away with 21 points. Roughly one point per possession. We just were straight up destroyed regarding explosive plays on offense vs. defense and vice versa. Losing Jordan James, Evan Stewart and having a hobbled Tez Johnson was too much to overcome on offense, even if our offensive line didn't allow so many negative plays, which they did. I mentioned yesterday during the game, the air was the same warm super low humidity air that Oregon always seems to lay an egg with in Arizona in November. It's almost like it's disorienting being so different. Ohio State came from super cold, but still super dry weather in their last game. I'm not going to keep saying this over and over, so I'll say this once: my biggest coaching disappointment was that Ohio State played the exact same game plan as against Tennessee, which every OSU fan, analyst and talking head was covering as being a reason OSU would beat us, yet it seemed that it caught our coaches off-guard. How is that possible? Does FEBU include not scouting the opposing teams last game? Ugh. Edited January 2 by Solar 1

I realize that dragging that number back is yards lost on sacks, but: Oregon's RBs total 21 yards rushing for the game. Very, VERY disappointing.
