NJDuck Moderator No. 1 Share Posted May 23 You may not have noticed the menu bar in the header. There is a new item called “News.” We invited you to explore this section. When you click on the word “News,” you will see an index of multiple links to sports news sites for your enjoyment! During the football season, podcasts were included with the game for that week. Podcasts still are taking place, just not as often. I also have noticed that the podcasts now are covering more than just football. For instance, the one following includes some talk about basketball. Those podcasts will now be posted under this thread as they occur. To see the previous podcast thread click Here as we will keep the thread to no more than 50 podcasts at a time. Check back often for some informative listening. This Thread is for Podcasts ONLY. You can always start a new thread with any of these podcasts for discussion.

NJDuck Author Moderator No. 13 Share Posted June 2 Oregon Lands Commitment From Blue-Chip EDGE Prince Tavizon Oregon’s 2027 recruiting class got started with a bang on Sunday, as San Diego (Calif.) Lincoln 4-Star EDGE Prince Tavizon announced his commitment to Dan Lanning and the Ducks. Tavizon was on campus for his third trip to Eugene this year, as Oregon continued to emerge as the team to beat for one of the best defensive prospects on the West Coast. I listed Tavizon in my Five most important weekend visitors heading into the weekend. It looks like the blue-chipper saw all he needed to feel comfortable committing to play his college football in Eugene.. On the latest episode of the Ducks Dish Podcast, ScoopDuck’s Max Torres and Justin Hopkins break down Tavizon’s commitment and what it means for Oregon Football moving forward as June gets underway. Tavizon has seen his stock take off on the recruiting trail this spring, with offers from Notre Dame, Texas, USC and Miami all coming in. The rising junior captured a state title with the Hornets in 2024 alongside true freshman Oregon quarterback Akili Smith Jr., as Lincoln knocked off Northern California powerhouse Pittsburg 28-26 for its second state crown in three years. As a sophomore the 6-foot-4, 245-pound Tavizon recorded 13 sacks. He hopes to increase that mark in 2025 as he aims for 20 sacks. The newest Duck continues Oregon’s pipeline to one of San Diego and indeed California’s most prestigious high school football programs. Tavizon joins a long list of former Hornets to play for Oregon including names like legendary quarterback Akili Smith, Tyree Robinson, Isaiah World and Jahlil Florence. NJDuck Author Moderator No. 20 Share Posted Friday at 08:14 PM Oregon Lands Commitment From 4-Star WR Messiah Hampton Oregon’s recruiting dry spell ended in a big way on Friday, as the Ducks picked up a commitment from 2026 4-Star Rochester (NY) James Monroe wide receiver Messiah Hampton. Hampton chose the Ducks from a top group that also included Miami, Syracuse, Penn State, Georgia, Ohio State and Michigan. Hampton is the No. 48 player in the On300 rankings, the No. 7 wide receiver and the No. 1 prospect in New York. New wide receivers coach Ross Douglas leaned on his prior relationship with Hampton to land his first commitment since joining Lanning’s staff and the first wide receiver in Oregon’s 2026 recruiting class. With Hampton now in the fold, Oregon’s 2026 recruiting class has climbed back into the top-10 classes nationally, coming in at No. 8 according to On3. The Ducks have eight verbal commitments, headlined by 5-star Reidsville (NC) tight end Kendre Harrison, who has shut down his recruitment and is all-in on the Ducks. On the latest episode of the Ducks Dish Podcast, ScoopDuckOn3’s Max Torres and Justin Hopkins break down Hampton’s commitment and what it means for Oregon Football. They also take a look at what’s next for Douglas at wide receiver in the 2026 class, with more of Oregon’s top targets scheduled to take their official visit with the Ducks before making a summer commitment. 2026 4-star Opa Loka (Fla.) wide receiver Calvin Russell has Oregon in his top group heading into his college commitment date of July 5. 2026 4-Star Lucas (Tex.) Panther Creek Athlete Jalen Lott also has high interest in Oregon ahead of his official visit in Eugene next weekend.
