Recommended Posts

Statistically speaking: Oregon Ducks 1 of 4 FBS teams to allow over 9 yards per play in multiple games

The Huskies are the second Ducks opponent to top 9 yards per play this season, joining Georgia.

Only three other FBS teams have allowed over 9 yards per play in multiple games this season: Akron, Charlotte and Rice.

Oregon has allowed 40 third-down conversions in pass defense, tied with Louisiana-Monroe and Texas

for most in the FBS but on the least attempts (83) of the three.

Where Oregon's defense ranks nationally after putrid display vs. Huskies

“What’s the hard truth? We’re not playing well on defense right now,” Lanning said.

“I don’t think it takes a lot of people to look at that and see it.”

Where Oregon's offense ranks nationally after upset loss to Washington

For the first time since early September, the Oregon Ducks offense did not put at least 40 points on the scoreboard.

The Ducks had 34 total points, which saw a fumble inside the 10-yard-line and a missed field goal as well.

In the end, those two plays — an an inability to cross the 40-point threshold — may have cost them the game.

We want to take a look back, as we do every week, at how Oregon’s offense ranks nationally in some key statistics.

They will be viewed in a dimmer light because of the loss, but their numbers are still up there with the best of them.

For the first time since early September, Oregon didn’t score 40-plus points. Their offense still ranks as one of the very best in the nation, though.
