The team's 7-1 start is largely due to the steadying force the two provide. Also the team's two leading scorers, they've provided freshman guard Chance Gray with great role models during her first year of collegiate basketball. Pennsylvania Duck Author Moderator No. 23 Share Posted December 16, 2022 Oregon forward Taylor Hosendove suffers injury in rout of Eastern Washington Thursday's 50-point win over Eastern Washington wasn't all positive. The Ducks played the second half with just eight players after reserve forward Taylor Hosendove suffered an injury during the second half warmups. While Hosendove averages just 10.9 minutes per game, her absence cuts into the team's front-court rotation severely. The Ducks have just two other posts in starting center Philli Kyei and forward Grace VanSlooten. The team's fourth front-court player is Kennedy Basham, who is about a month from returning from a knee injury. Pennsylvania Duck Author Moderator No. 24 Share Posted December 16, 2022 Three Double-Doubles Highlight Win Grace VanSlooten, Phillipina Kyei and Endyia Rogers each had a double-double Thursday as Oregon beat Eastern Washington, 88-38. Though the final margin of victory was impressive, Oregon's 45.5 percent shooting was actually below the Ducks' season average of 47.9 percent from the floor. All the missed shots and the teams' combined 22 turnovers led to a somewhat disjointed pace at times, and the Ducks were content but not overjoyed with how they played. "I'm glad we got a victory; we did some really good things tonight," UO coach Kelly Graves said. "It just didn't seem like anybody, including the coaches, was having a whole lot of fun out on the court.
