DUCKS BATTLE HUSKIES SUNDAY

The Ducks look to snap their season-long six-game skid and sweep the regular-season series with the Huskies. UO defeated UW 65-58 on Jan. 13 at Matthew Knight Arena. Following Friday's 64-57 loss at Washington State, each of Oregon's last 11 games have been decided by 10 or fewer points.

Oregon is 55-51 all-time against Washington as it seeks its 11th straight win in the series. The Ducks have won the last six matchups in Seattle.

WBB recap: Second half woes too much to overcome in Seattle

Everything was going so well for the Oregon Ducks women’s basketball team. Te-Hina Paopao was hitting threes, they were playing good defense and doing the little things in order to win a game.

Then halftime happened.

It was a completely different story in the second half. Washington outscored the Ducks 41-28 after the break and went on to win 68-60.

Oregon scored a grand total of six points in the third quarter and it didn’t get much better in the fourth. Although the Ducks’ NET ranking is in the 20s, they’re not playing even close to an NCAA tournament team.

Road Trip Ends With 68-60 Loss at UW

Oregon got a season-high 22 points from Te-Hina Paopao, but finished its four-game road trip with a 68-60 loss at Washington Sunday afternoon at Alaska Airlines Arena.

The Ducks (14-13, 5-11), who have played seven of their last nine away from Matthew Knight Arena, saw their season-long losing streak hit seven games. Each of UO's last 12 games have been decided by 10 points or less.

"Overall, we played harder tonight," said head coach Kelly Graves. "In the third quarter, we just couldn't score and had a few turnovers in that quarter. Kind of a similar tale. But it was good to see a couple of positives. Paopao bounced back, it was good to see her bounce back and play well. Philli (Kyei), I thought, did some really good stuff."
