Ducks Win Twice on Saturday

No. 20 Oregon used timely hitting and a standout pitching performance from Morgan Scott to sweep a pair of games Saturday night at the Judi Garman Classic.

Alyssa Daniell's go-ahead single in the top of the seventh inning lifted the Ducks past San Jose State, 6-2, in game one Saturday.

Morgan Scott struck out eight in a three-hit, 9-0, shutout against LMU in the nightcap.

"I think it was a total team effort," said Terra McGowan who was 3-for-5, with a double, two home runs and three RBI on Saturday. "Defense, hitting, pitching – it was all on.

Five takeaways from Oregon softball's fourth weekend of the season

Oregon traveled to Fullerton, CA for the Judi Garman Classic last week in hopes of navigating a six-game stretch that began on Thursday morning against Fresno State.

The No. 20 Ducks beat the Bulldogs 6-2 before losing to Minnesota 4-1 to lead-off Friday on a sour note. From there, Oregon closed the weekend on a three-game win streak, beating Cal Poly (15-1), San Jose State (6-2), and Loyola Marymount (9-0 (5)). The Ducks’ weekend-closing matchup with Long Beach State on Sunday was canceled due to poor weather conditions.

After the 4-1 trip to Fullerton, Oregon moved to 16-4 on the season and will make the quick shift to conference play on a three-game win streak.

Today, we’ll take a moment to go over the key notes from the Ducks’ fourth weekend of the regular season:
