Ducks Ride Five-Run Fourth to Victory

 

No. 18 Oregon scored five times in the fourth inning and Morgan Scott threw a one-hit shutout as the Ducks defeated Lindenwood, 8-0, in six innings Thursday at Jane Sanders Stadium.
 
Allee Bunker went 3-for-4 and drove in three runs – two in the fourth – while Paige Sinicki also played a big role in the fourth inning rally with a two-RBI double.

 

"It felt good, seeing all the work I put in pay off," said Sinicki of her first RBI hit of the season.

Allee Bunker led an all-around offensive outburst for No. 16 Oregon in its second run-rule win of the week.

 

Bunker went 3 for 4 with three RBIs to lead the Ducks in an 8-0 win in six innings over Lindenwood Thursday afternoon at Jane Sanders Stadium.

 

Eight players had hits and seven scored runs for Oregon (24-11), which got 6.0 one-hit innings from Morgan Scott (two walks, five strikeouts).

Ducks cap off unbeaten non-conference stretch with drubbing of Lindenwood

 

After beating Montana 9-1 on Monday and Lindenwood 8-0 on Thursday, Oregon completed an unbeaten week of non-conference play with

a 16-0 victory over the same Lindenwood squad on Friday night.

 

On their home field, the No. 18 Ducks won three games by a combined 30 runs throughout the week, taking a quick hiatus from the Pac-12 gauntlet to nourish the win column against two teams ranked outside the top 200 in the national RPI standings.

Ducks Homer Five Times in Win

 

No. 18 Oregon pounded out 17 hits, including five home runs, in a 16-0 defeat of Lindenwood Friday night in front of 1,936 fans at Jane Sanders Stadium.
 
The Ducks (25-11) scored 13 of their 16 runs in the first and second innings.
 
"I really love how these guys swung the bat today," said head coach Melyssa Lombardi. "I felt like they really swung the bat with authority. I thought they put themselves in good counts."
 
Ariel Carlson, Allee Bunker, Tehya Bird, Remmington Hewitt and Alyssa Daniell all homered for the Ducks on Friday.
