Ducks Win 12th in a Row

It took hits from all nine starters and clutch pitching down the stretch for No. 14 Oregon to win its 12th consecutive game by defeating California, 5-3, Saturday at Levine-Fricke Field.

More importantly, Oregon took over sole possession of third in the Pac-12 and moved to within a half game of second place Washington in the standings with four games to play.

The Ducks (34-11, 13-7) jumped out to a 5-0 lead through four innings before Cal (31-16-1, 7-12-1) tightened things up with a three-run fifth. But relievers Raegan Breedlove and Morgan Scott shut down the Bears over the final two innings, allowing just one hit to preserve the victory.

"We're a very competitive team so even when (Cal) did get those runs, we immediately came together and it was like 'we got this. We're still in this. We're still going to win'," said KK Humphreys, who homered for the second straight game. "I think just the confidence – we feel it in each other."

Ducks Rally for 13th Win in a Row

No. 14 Oregon scored six times in the fourth inning to complete a sweep of California, 8-5, Sunday at Levine-Fricke Field. The comeback win extended the Ducks' winning streak to 13 games.

With the win, the Ducks (35-11, 14-7) moved into a tie for second place in the Pac-12 with No. 10 Washington with only a weekend series against No. 23 Utah at the Jane remaining in the regular season.

"It's been a lot of fun," said shortstop Paige Sinicki, who made a trio of highlight reel plays on Sunday. "It's just our team doing our job just really working together to get these W's. It just feels great that we came out today with the W."
