I don't know how much season tickets cost(I'm sure it's a pretty penny), but I think that investing that amount of money in a product allows the consumer to voice their approval/disapproval.

I didn't boo myself but I am not upset at other fans doing so. I pay enough for tickets every year and I walked out of that game. The win against UCLA was nice, as Jon said, but it was only a point win by "the best" team in the Pac12.

Charles suggest that we reset our expectations of a MC coached team. It is true because if we are expecting anything more than a one score win against any team then our expectations are too high.

This is MCs best as a head coach...he has a winning record and appears he is "prevent" coaching.

When he was announced as Oregon’s OC I did a lot of studying of his offense, and he’s actually doing a lot more now than he was then.

So the reason for Oregon's stagnant offense is HC?...QB?...I'm hesitant to blame the players when it's a groundhog day offense for four years and...Herbert.

Remember Herbert's freshman year being thrown to the lions of purple? He was mauled by a stout D and looked pretty good. His next three years were very pedestrian, aside from the Pac12 championship game...

  3. Prevent offense is the correct name of the style that MC likes. Many believed that it was the OCs that caused the problems...I "knew" before the pac-12 championship against Utah a couple of years ago that everything ran through MC.

Love him as a CEO but he is too much of a micromanager...

I would never boo the coaches or the players. The refs, on the other hand...

I have only booed the refs also. I think booing players (from either team) may be excessive. I can see booing coaches though. I agree with Haywarduck that the pocketbook is the best way to vote, ultimately, but if the fans walked out just for one quarter or half turning Autzen into a visiting fan's dream that would also get the point across.

The Ducks seem to play a bit better in morning/early afternoon games--hopefully

I don't know, I was at the Stanford game and it was a wash until the end. Like many other posters' have said the offense plays just well enough to win or lose. I too believe Chip and his staff will out coach our coaches.

  6. If he could pass to himself he would. The guy is as selfish as any QB can be. There are plenty of plays for all six games I thought just be a true, "point guard", field general and this team is electric! You do you and just be the first QB to be booed by the entire student section.

  7. He could take that job but it's a guaranteed two years only. SEC fires coaches two years after a NC because they are not as good as Alabama or Georgia. Pac12 is the only guarantee of five years or more of average coaching.

How long before the fans start voting with their pocketbooks?

I left at halftime. I couldn't take it anymore. I was angry and frustrated. I went out for sushi instead. I actually am considering dumping my six seats and using those funds for both basketball teams, the track teams, and serious celebration while attending those games.

I've been a season ticket holder for quite a long time and never once had these thoughts--even when times were lean. I have never experienced the rain of boos for the home team. There have been boos for kicking versus going for a first down or touch down. Those boos felt like they were directed at the team and the staff. The team is not to blame.

Brown has nowhere near the athleticism of Williams but Oregon runs AB like he was the 2nd coming of Lamar Jackson at Louisville

I don't believe that the coaches are actually running AB. I think he is making the RPO decision to keep the ball. There have been several plays this season where AB could have easily pitched the ball but keeps it and is stuffed. Other plays where he keeps it and scores but could have pitched the ball to the RBs and they would have scored. To me AB is trying to finish his college career with more stats. He is, in basketball terms, a ball hog. "Look at what I can do!"

The team will NOT win, IMHO, with a selfish and stubborn QB compounded with a stubborn head coach. Chip was stubborn here at Oregon, would have won a NC had he not been, but he was innovative and won more than he lost.

  10. There is an interview with Dana at the beginning of this season where he was asked why he doesn't tell all the "news" outlets how good his teams are? His reply? He would rather let his team show how good they are then to stand on a soapbox and tell everyone. Speak softly and carry a big whoop'em stick...

...yet another example of the anti-Oregon bias from the Pac-12 coaches. Just like with the football awards, we see how petty and jealous the other coaches are of Oregon.

I love the Ducks being the hated ones! It makes me laugh...Give everyone else the accolades as long as the Ducks take home the trophies!

  12. I absolutely love this! When Oregon was a 12 seed in 2019 and everyone thought there is no way that they'll get out of the first round. They ended up losing to the eventual champions but even that was a tight game. If they didn't disappear for three minutes they would have made the final four because Virgina just squeaked that game and the rest of their games out.

Back then only one of the pundits, from the west, said that Oregon is a scary 12 to face in the first round. I think the "East coast" bias works in the Ducks favor! Let's Go Ducks!
