They have 2 things that gets me flapping my wings. OL concerns and will top TE and WR be healed and healthy.
Ain't gonna matter tho they won't be able to stop our offense often enough. They are replacing 2 many players on D for the first game.

I hate to see everyone suing when accidents happen but the least he should get would be specific medical care for life tied to this accident.
Each person is an individual as to what can happen due to the injuries sustained from the event.

I feel It's often overlooked that the longer you play next to or with another player/s the better u become and your team plays.
That's why I believe yes UGA is going to reload and not rebuild but it's going to take time.
I believe we have that advantage.

No he won't be as mad at Sabin because the Pitt coach knows this is happening after the player went in the portal.

At least it shows how subject these polls are. Same informational imput but all kinds of different outcomes.

We have all heard the HCs say rating stars mean nothing when u step on campus.
We also know that guys mature at different ages and times because of work efforts.
Some also reach their ceilings earlier due to many things.
My nephew pitched and was drafted. Being away from home for long periods of time was something he could not overcome.
To many variables to know exactly why someone does or doesn't work out.

I think I like divisions and agree with you on the dates played for cross divisions.
The problem I see with top 2 is u could still have to beat a team twice.
What about all cross division teams u play are lower tier of the division. This would give more of a chance in my view of the top 2 teams playing for the title but only having to play 1 game to decide it all.

We had a lot of defensive speed injured last year. Think of J Flowe, J LaDuke and K Brown.
Now add in J Bassa, A Jackson, D Jackson, H Taggert and we probably have fastest LB core sideline to sideline in CFB.
At CB we have C Gonzalez the 2 Jahils, D Barkins and K Terrell.
On offense you have burners in WRs D Thornton, J Franklin, K Hutsen, S McGee, T Ferguson( for a TE),
At RBs S Dollars, N Whittingham, J James.
Yes I believe we have the speed!!!

I don't feel we as Duck fans have to worry about any team on our schedule. I believe this is a team that has the experience in players that went from the high to the low last year.
They are a team that have improved players from their replacements they are taking over for almost at every level and position group.
This team has a sour taste in their mouths from last year. Just watch and see.
I believe they have better coaches top to bottom and culture this year.
They will be a team on a mission next Year! Can't wait!!!

Yeah both #1 QBs thought of as top Hiesman
candidates and top picks for next year's NFL draft are from SoCal, playing for tOSU and Alabama. Go figure!

I sometimes feel the same about things getting off tangent but me being me I usually post something to get it back to topic or don't read it.
Again I believe we are a community and we shouldn't talk about serious stuff all the time. A little lite hearted banter keeps people more involved and sometimes even laughing at it and that is always mostly a good thing.
If I don't feel that way at that time I just go on to something I do want to read. I believe this way is the best way to handle it for the most people.
After saying all that I myself have posted ridiculous things not above FB every once in a while even though that's not how I usually am

I believed in MC until last year when several things happened that gave me concern. Hope we see you in a bowl or the PO. And of course I hope we win.

So many different thoughts brought on by all of the different posts. I had my take of the explosive offense as something that occurred at a time when no one else was doing it. Things changed and pretty soon every one was. But with better players. Then CK left we were ok until Mariota and most of CKs players left. Then we went into a downturn. I don't remember much of the Taggert year but it's stated above lot of points were scored but if I remember correctly we were 7/5. That's not good enough especially after the CK years.
Then MC came said all those words and promises to us. He started recruiting and low and behold he started getting a lot of talent but it was mostly D not O. This is why I believe he became a ball control coach. Especially being a OL himself. And we did win as was stated above his is the 2nd best HC record behind CK. Here comes the rub. It was an excrement type of ball to watch. I also believe except for maybe Stanford it's not something West Coast players excel at. See what happened at Stanford. They had success for awhile with pound your face ball but now are more air it out to try and compete. This is with B Shaw still as coach.
FB is like any other game. You try something new it works your opponent reacts then u have to change or lose. Back and forth it goes.
I truly believe MC thought he was changing the style of CFB back and would be successful. I will also state after this last year his in game coaching, philosophy and personality grind on players and coaches rather than inspiring them causing everyone to burn out.
Then after reading Haywards post. I got to say I believe his take on all we need from DL, staff and team is give it your all, walk the walk don't just talk the talk and embrace the ways of CKs teams, Kamakasi Kids and Prefontaine. As Hayward puts it the Oregon Way!!!! Sorry if some of this doesn't make sense or is typed wrong. I'm a pretty tired old greybeard.

Also remember these are MCs recruits. They are also highly rated and sought after from all across the country.
IMHO If there would have been a portal over the years we would have seen the same thing especially when it comes to top schools changing HC or even position coaches.
Then throw in covid with the exemption year.
I believe it's a good and needed thing for players to be where they want to be with coaches they believe in. It's their future.
Everything is good except for possible tampering which is going to be hard to prove and staffs being handicapped by shortages of players or a run on particular position group which they can't recover from.
That's why we need reasonable portal windows of time and the issue of the 85 scholarship limit addressed asap.

When talking about championships it starts with the OL and DL. You maybe able to in the lesser leagues but not the natty. Also will these pay for pay people be able to really dedicate themselves to the hard work needed to excel with all that money and the distraction of la la land.

I'm starting to believe Dye didn't fit into our future plans. He was MC guy. From the looks of it all the backs we now have have break away speed along with all the attributes of Dye.

This is the answer. The NCAA was and is to weak to do much of anything. Now just need some sanity with portal. NCAA should be able to affect this.

Guess I can't say too much as we also brought in a lot of players.
