The only concern for me about Oregon going deep in the playoffs is Bittle’s backup. He doesn’t get many minutes but could be a huge problem versus major competition, especially if Nate’s in foul trouble. He’s appears to be a hardworking teammate, but I can’t see the necessary upside.

Embarrassing - no team leader, little basketball IQ, no physicality to speak of.

Beginning next season Oregon must become Big Ten physical - very embarrassing.

As neighborhood kids in the 50’s we’d sneak up to the back entrance about a half hour before tipoff and Jungle Jim Loscutoff would often let us in smiling, “don’t tell anyone!”

Gabriel must rush 40-50 yards for us to win, not just off broken plays but designed. His true talent in that category has not yet been revealed. Not a time to be shy. Risk everything. I think Stein has been waiting for this approach all season just for the right time. Heck, maybe 60-70 yards!
