  1. Thank YOU, and it was fun chatting with you as well. We will do it again! (But at a lower-cost venue)
  2. Kamikaze...I cannot express how much fun that was, and thank YOU. We yakked for five hours, and then NJDuck and I yakked for another hour and a half...I left at 11:30! For those in Eugene--we will need to meet for a pizza or beer on a regular basis, as I really enjoyed the opinions and analysis by others that attended. This was also instructive for me in that....I have regretted how many people have left this site in a huff because they could not get their way. But I've said often that I'd rather have much fewer member of NICE people, and last night was a group of such superb people, and great fans. I'd rather have fewer people like them on the forum than twice as many with tons of trolls. We really have a lot of great people on this forum... This (below) is the only picture I took, and it was before the event with my tech guy--to see the banner made for me 12 years ago. Of course once we got engaged in conversation--everyone forgot to take a picture!
  3. FishDuck Fact: "It can be honorable to cheer for Washington....but only when it will help Our Beloved Ducks."
  4. On the site, WeAreSC, they speak of how they want to run the ball on Oregon, limit the possessions, and remain close going into the 4th quarter so they can use their quick-strike capabilities to pull off the upset.
  5. What is the crucial flag that USC players will need the most?
  6. There are few Oregon fans as fanatical as I, when I set my mind on something positive about Our Beloved Ducks. If we can put 63 on Cal? And we will run the ball easier on USC? And the Trojans have not faced a top-ten defense yet? I want 70!
  7. Agreed. We have not had a defense this good against both rushing and passing in 11 years, and we are one of the nations best. Time to showcase it! Tonight at the OBD Get-Together...we are going to break down this guy's sackmaster moves...
  8. In an Apple News article that most of us do not have access to--USC HC Lincoln Riley admitted that... USC didn’t review any of the game tape of their loss to Washington. Said with a new DC in the seat, why go back and harp on all the things that went wrong? Riley says that losing one game at Oregon won’t define the program or have a material impact on recruiting. Wow. He is waving the flags already.
  9. Agreed. If things don't go his way....he could blow up the NFL team with his spoiled, entitled judgment.
  10. The last time the Trojans came to Autzen, the terror attacks in Nice France occurred, and as a show of support--they surprised the Oregon crowd with what they brought out during their entrance. While it was a nice gesture...rarely has carrying the French flag into battle worked out well. "I never said I was noble." (Photo from great FishDuck photographer Gary Breedlove)
  11. ln the Gulf Coast Offense, Taggart ran a Jet-Sweep, but we did not pull players like this. I like it as it is our own updated version of "Student Body Right." Taggart brings an Ultimate POWER/MISDIRECTION Play Package to Oregon FISHDUCK.COM Charles Fischer of FishDuck.com analyzes a misdirection play series that launched Willie Taggart and will be the foundation of the Oregon offense next season. And a fellow detailed the Lead-Sweep and Jet-Sweep under Chip Kelly of which is a variation, but different from above. Thanks so much to Coach Boles!
  12. Hello My OBD FishDuck Forum Friends! What is your prediction versus USC? Take your shot and let's have fun with it... Lets get these predictions started, and remember I look for the differential between your predicted points with both teams from the actual points. I will use the tiebreaker information when needed, so provide all the data below! Entries without ALL the information are invalid, and predictions on other threads don't count. Please follow directions, as I need all that is below for tiebreakers: --the winner --the score --the amount of turnovers Oregon creates --the number of sacks Oregon records on the opposing team --the number of passing yards by the Ducks. My prediction is: Oregon, 70-30, 2, 4, 362 My prediction might be a bit wishful, but we need to win big, as I think style points are important with as many one-loss teams as there are. But I do think that if Oregon can score on their first three drives....the Trojans will lose heart and the landslide will be on. Gonna be a lot of these... Tonight at the OBD Get-Together--I will explain why I think this will happen within Oregon's offensive and defensive game-plans.
  13. Yes. Crying about losing a game is fine...in private. But you don't embarrass your team, and epitomize what everyone is saying about the program. Just another photo opp for Caleb...
  14. The old saying is different for the USC...."when the going gets tough, the Trojans cry on Momma's lap." If I was one of the USC offensive linemen, and looked up and saw that? I'd ask,..."why am I busting my rear for that big baby?"
  15. Yep. Maldonado had only 37 yards, directly in front, and no wind. This is what kickers live for...
  16. He is good, but as a team? I believe they will fold up quicker than the chairs at my Friday Film Session. Their will to fight on will be quickly broken--mid second quarter, when they see they cannot stop Oregon....IMHO. Oregon has scored a bunch on them before... I have no such confidence with any other opponent going into the game. (other than Portland State)
  17. Pundits nationally have declared that USC is soft, such as Colin Cowherd, John Canzano, etc. The picture in the first post, is the definition of USC Soft!
  18. Precisely. So what happens if Oregon keeps their foot on the gas for four quarters? 70!
  19. For everyone that adds to this thread--I am going to save this thread for those in the future who ask--and I can give them the link to this thread. So it only has to be written once! I am hopelessly devoted to...Ducks!
  20. This is going to get ugly early, so have your Mommy ready in the locker room for halftime.
  21. See the Pinned Post at the top because at 6:15 PM Friday night will be a half-hour presentation about this year's team where we break down items to watch for. Guarantee you will learn something, and it is free. See the top pinned post about the OBD Get-Together...
  22. Agreed. Oregon has scouted and prepared the players for particular sets, and opponent plays from those sets extremely well. Back in the Stanford game....when the Cardinal went into twin backs in the backfield, our defense was shouting and adjusting. They knew that usually this means an option play coming, just blew it up a number of times. To all...I will be showing some dandy stuff in the Film Session at the OBD Get-Together on Friday night! (Pinned Post at top) Join us!
  23. All the way from New Jersey? C'mon OBD readers and members--come welcome him and join the fun!
  24. Since Oregon lost to Washington, the defense appears to have stepped up bigger than most of us would have realized. In the last three games, the defense has only given up three touchdowns? Wowsa. Meanwhile USC has given up 45 points per game in their last four games. Their issues are too multiple to mention in this thread between being very undersized on the defense line, and not very good at getting off blocks, confusion often in the secondary, etc. But damn...the Ducks defense giving up only three touchdowns in three games? It is darned impressive, and I'd love to see our defense shut USC down--way below their scoring average. This is an additional jump forward for Oregon's defense....but why? What do you think the reason is? At the OBD Get-Together on Friday night, (See Pinned Post at Top) I will give my analysis/thoughts about how Oregon will slow down Caleb Williams. Join us!
