  1. This is true... Oregon's offensive system is developing into a juggernaut 247SPORTS.COM The Oregon offense is operating at a level we haven't seen since the days of Marcus Mariota, and it was on full display Saturday night at Arizona Stadium in Tucson. The
  2. I am grateful to Dazed for an article that gives us entertainment and perspective. I was sweating it last night as it was getting past 1:00 AM, and the pictures from the photographer I hired in Arizona had not come in yet. You always hope you made a good choice with who you hired, and it turns out he was awesome. Lots more pics coming for our writers, and they were the perfect complement to article Dazed gave us. Thanks for creating an article late in the evening after a game!
  3. It is true. While we are averaging 42 points per game for the season...the five games since Georgia of 70,41,44,45,and 49 bring us to an average of 49.8 points per game! So we have an offense that is a Chip Kelly Redux, to face CK and we will need that offensive firepower to win that game. My friends, I hope this time around that people truly savor what is going on. At times I sensed that people took it for granted when we scored an average of 45 points a game for four years in a row, and I know that I am soaking this up while it it happening. So fun to watch, so interesting to break down and analyze. So very special...
  4. This did not age well... Kirk Herbstreit picks against Oregon in late-night road matchup with Arizona SATURDAYOUTWEST.COM ESPN's Kirk Herbstreit explains why he likes Arizona as a 13-point underdog against Oregon. You KNOW he will bet on Chip...
  5. Red Eddy Green! Actual game score of 49-22 Red Eddy Green: Prediction of 49-24 49-49 = 0 Difference 24-22 = 2 Difference Total Difference of 2! wounded knees: Prediction of 48-20 49-48 = 1 Difference 20-22 = 2 Difference Total Difference of 3 Log Haulin: Prediction of 48-20 49-48 = 1 Difference 20-22 = 2 Difference Total Difference of 3 Pretty darn impressive for all three! Thanks for playing and now...how to figure the score of Oregon vs. UCLA? Whew!
  6. OK, the game is over and let’s discuss in new threads in the forum!
  7. I am going to get the party started with a concern...as last year after the big Ohio State win, Kirk Herbstreit predicted we would lose to Stanford...and he was not feeling good in GameDay about Oregon today. Crap!
  8. Here we are my friends, the thread for discussing the actual game as it happens. Let's discuss before, and during the game! The vast majority of you are GREAT in this thread, but you must remember that this forum is different, as we require civilized discussion. Rule No. 31d covers GameDay thread conduct, and it is not hard for the vast majority of us--just a tiny few who need to reign it in. Let's Have Fun Posting During the Game!
  9. Hello my FishDuck Friends, I am going to follow the suggestion of OBD Member, Dr Hilarius to determine the finalists: Actual score of 45-27, Oregon over Stanford. Delta Analysis: EastBayDuckDad Ducks 48 (delta 3) Furd 27 (delta 0) total delta = 3 Mic Ducks 45 (delta 0) Furd 24 (delta 3) total delta = 3 FG Lumber Ducks 35 (delta 10) Furd 17 (delta 10) total delta = 20 Tiebreakers: **= winner/closest in that category Actual from the Game: Turnovers: 1 Sacks: 3 Passing Yards: 164 EastBayDuckDad Turnovers: 3 Sacks: 4 ** Passing Yards: 325** Mic Turnovers: 2** Sacks: 5 Passing Yards: 375 Winner by one tiebreaker category: EastBayDuckDad Congrats to him and thus beginning this week I will apply this new criteria to determining the winner. Thanks again to Dr Hilarius!
  10. Yep. Against BYU, the Ducks only had the ball for four possessions in the first half and scored on all of them for a 24-3 lead. In the first half against WSU some called plays in the Red Zone that worked before, but did not work then. Many times it simply comes down to..."did the play work?" If if did, we as fans say nothing, but when if fails..."we have a big problem." I think Dilly has done well overall for just five games, and he is getting better. He is backing up what he said he would try to do on offense, and is returning us to the days of high-scoring again. And no coordinator is going to be perfect; what Dilly has done thus far doesn't suck.
  11. Wasn't Karl Dorrell just fired as the Buff Coach a week or so ago? The 0-5 is not attributed entirely to Sanford when he is just an interim coach.
  12. Hello My OBD FishDuck Forum Friends! What is your prediction versus Arizona? Take your shot and let's have fun with it... Lets get these predictions started and remember I look for the spread with then the closest score that has the spread correct. I need all the data from you! Entries without all the information are invalid, and predictions on other threads don't count as I am not going to hunt them all down. I am no longer going to PM three or four people who don't read directions each week. Please follow directions, as I need all that is below for tiebreakers: --the winner --the score --the amount of turnovers Oregon creates --the number of sacks Oregon records on the opposing team --the number of passing yards by the Ducks. My prediction is: Oregon 45-23, 3, 4, 254
  13. Another incredible Spoof by Alan...whew! There are so many jokes, so many swipes at the Wildcats that I suggest reading more than once!
  14. Yet a fellow performing pretty well for the Ducks was once a two-star receiver with only one offer and signed by Western Kentucky... Noah Whittington, 2020 Wide Receiver - Rivals.com N.RIVALS.COM The definitive source for all Rivals news.
  15. Yikes. I was quite suspicious when I searched for information on Boulton and got "no rating," and then he was not listed among our verbals for the longest time? Now he is listed....as a two-star! Bryce Boulton, 2023 Offensive Guard - Rivals.com N.RIVALS.COM The definitive source for all Rivals news. Damn, now that is a project!
  16. That is very kind of you...wow. Now I have to root for your team tomorrow!
  17. You have been a friendly Wildcat fan, but I do wish to warn you in advance to NOT come here tomorrow and read the "Saturday Spoof" article by Alan Lohner. Alan has skewered every opponent in his articles thus far this season, and his evisceration of Arizona in his article tomorrow is priceless. (I've read it already and both howled with laughter and winced) I always like to warn the nice fans in advance because if you do...
  18. If UCLA and Oregon win this weekend...then perhaps ESPN GameDay will come to Eugene for our big game with Chip Kelly. But if Oregon and Utah remain undefeated in league play...then perhaps ESPN GameDay would come to Eugene for that November game! Good-or-good?
  19. We will get highly rated O-linemen with Klemm in the future, but you also do need the project players as well. As pointed out--we have done well with those projects, such as Ryan Walk for example.
  20. I do not know if this was posted before, but this article makes some superb points about how the Pac-12 Network could be a perfect fit, and an asset for a streaming company to buy. It would help us as fans as well as the buyer, and I had not thought of these points before. Good stuff to be aware of for when the decisions/announcements are made.
