The jerseys are definitely shorter on some players because of their build and the type of pads used. Most players wore yellow tee-shirts underneath the jersey that matched the pants and covered the top pant line.
Some players did have that Steve Erkel look going on….lol
The tee-shirts made the pants appear abnormally high.

Stay with Bucky. He is a warrior tonight.

WSU QB made up for a bad decision and interception. Cal looks terrible.

How many games has momentum changed with a muffed punt. Fielding a punt while keeping an eye on human torpedoes flying at you is not for the faint of heart.
Add some wind, rain, and +50,000 fans yelling from the stands and it can be a crucial play to successfully catch a well struck punt.

I hope they can trailer the bike for November and December games. Brrrrrrr…..

He definitely had the kickers yips his freshman year. Pretty much expected him to miss anything beyond 25 yards. However, he has become competent place kicker and I have to applaud his efforts to improve.

I enjoy reading the topics that you all write about.
Thanks for your time. My football career ended with a broken wrist long ago. Played safety and would play RB if needed.
Your explanation of the nuances of the game is always informative.

Those guys in that other locker room are thinking…WTH just happened?

I guess I can't understand why the obsession on this forum about MC's troubles at UM?
Perhaps it is not entirely Mario.
There used to be a lot of continuity with the Oregon coaching staff until CK went to Philly. Since then, if Oregon has success, other programs are hiring our assistants, or head coaches in a rather short time.
Coaches become the “hired gun” that will turn around a program that is in disarray.
I guess the amusing part is that most fans felt Oregon was on the wrong track with it’s offense, and now that Miami hired part of our problem, they appear to be flying off the rails as well.

I think Justin Herbert endured and overcame a lot of mundane play calling. I say that Justin’s abilities are the main reason that Miami paid big money for our ex- coach.
They are finding out quickly that all they are getting is a pretty good recruiter.

Dilly's play calling almost cost us this game is my take.
Goes both ways…
Offense had issues in the first half of play. Execution of plays in the red zone cost us the lead going into halftime. However, the Ducks offense came out firing in the second half.
Defensive errors in the second half were really giving WSU opportunities to put the game away.
The offense kept chopping away in the second half, and ultimately, I would give them credit for winning this game.

Oregon is averaging just under 300 yds passing and around 195 yds rushing per game. The Ducks can move the ball and it is good to see that brand of football return.
Our OL definitely sets the tone for our games. Their ability to pass protect and create running lanes for our RBs is a huge part of our success.
Being able to win a shoot out is part of today’s college game. As everyone knows, physicality doesn’t necessarily score points.

Nothing more exciting than watching our receivers break free and Nix hitting them in stride. The way Oregon was marching up and down that field they probably should have scored +50 points.
A come from behind win on the road will certainly help this teams confidence and resolve during any tough games ahead.
Looks like a potent offense has finally returned to Oregon. -
I have always liked the Ducks white uniforms.
They also wore white uniforms when Kenyon Barner scored 5 TDS at USC in 2012. Of all the away games that I have attended over the years, that one is still one of my favorites.

The Ducks are not one dimensional. They can run and pass the ball effectively if necessary. It will become more and more difficult to shut down the Ducks on offense as they get used to the new offense.
Defensively, I think the team continues to improve this weekend.
WSU creates some unique problems, but they also will be facing a team and coaching staff that has some things to prove. I say we move ahead as a team. They will definitely not be overlooking this as just another game.

These are the type of games that the rodents need to win to continue the momentum they have been slowly building.
Would love to watch the Troy boys hype machine fly off the rails in Corvallis.

Sorry, meant to pin this in the daily articles.

I think this team still wants to prove that the game in Atlanta was partly bad timing. The players and coaches all know they need to improve and will not take this game lightly.
WSU is always a feisty team and the Ducks would be a huge win for them. However, I think the Ducks continue to show improvement and take care of business.

It is difficult to play the perfect season. You guys are the media darlings right now and everyone else you compete with wants to knock your teeth out. Injuries can change the dynamics of a team quickly.
Stay healthy and you guys are looking good.
Most fans know if their team has a legit shot at the title. Media attention comes and goes. Enjoy it for what it is worth. You are only as good as your last game, and the media is just reporting what they have seen.
Good luck.

Streaming subscriptions topped 300 million during the pandemic. There are certainly many sports fans included in those subscription numbers.
Amazon is paying $1.2 billion per year to stream 15 NFL games. That is an increase of 80% over what Fox was previously paying.
Streaming entertainment is here to stay, and the competition to be able to provide content has expanded into mainstream sports.
The PAC 12 network would definitely benefit by selling some of it’s content and expanding viewership capabilities.

The coaching staff and team has had 3 games to operate a new offense and defense. The offensive scheme certainly has improved and is much less predictable. Defensively, we are starting to look formidable.
Oregon had to scramble to replace it’s head football coach. DL came in and helped stabilize the team, brought in a solid staff, and is bringing in impressive recruits. I expect DL will thrive given time.
Do I expect them to win every remaining game? Realistically, no…but, they do have me thinking that it is possible.
The team looks to me like they have a solid chance to be in the mix for the conference championship game.
-
DL has assembled an impressive staff for a first time head coach. Some of these coaches opted to leave stable positions to work with the rookie head coach in Eugene.
From his OC, and DC, to the various position coaches, it appears they are all improving the product on the field.
When guys like Coach Locklyn get immediate results and views their job as an opportunity to serve the players beyond just teaching them the game of football, it certainly helps fans buy back into the program.
-
Carlos Locklyn is an upgrade at RB coach. His guys are playing hard and getting it done. DL’s statement of “if you are good enough, you are old enough” looks to be spot on.
Potential recruits will certainly notice how many freshman are getting on the field.

I am Surprised at the Wolfing and Showboating...Are You?

Not much to celebrate at Georgia.
Some of our players used to celebrate plays while we were losing the game. I think celebrating when you are ahead by 4 touchdowns is boorish.
However, if a big play happens that turns momentum of a close game in our favor, I don’t mind a celebration of sorts.
