  1. Hello, Darren……and thanks for the cogent piece on the Huskies.   I share your appreciation for the PAC-12, and I agree that a Husky win on Monday will be a plus for Oregon.  Also, my being a UO fan doesn’t stop me from experiencing the pure joy of watching a team as skilled and well coached as UW.

Go, Ducks, Dawgs, and the memory of the PAC-12……

  2. I am rooting for Oregon as there is a very good chance that DL will have his players overcome their shortcomings and win the challenges they face this week as they prepare for the showdown with UCLA.

Success in the challenges the Ducks face this week will set the stage for upcoming games with Utah and possibly USC.

    Go, Ducks…….

  3. Valid point on size of UO DBs.   Still, the position requires a unique set of skills/physical attributes that are indicated in recruiting checklists.

“Defensive back football recruiting guidelines NCAA Division 1—FBS Average college football player size for DB: 5’11” / 189 lbs Should be a three-year varsity starter Multiple years competing at the All-State level The recruit should be the best athlete on the field! He can flip hips and get in and out of breaks without false steps.”
