  1. Hello, Darren……and thanks for the cogent piece on the Huskies. I share your appreciation for the PAC-12, and I agree that a Husky win on Monday will be a plus for Oregon. Also, my being a UO fan doesn’t stop me from experiencing the pure joy of watching a team as skilled and well coached as UW. Go, Ducks, Dawgs, and the memory of the PAC-12……
  2. There is a thin line between ego and analytics, and a wise coach will know which side to employ in a given game-time moment. Tough loss.
  3. I am rooting for Oregon as there is a very good chance that DL will have his players overcome their shortcomings and win the challenges they face this week as they prepare for the showdown with UCLA. Success in the challenges the Ducks face this week will set the stage for upcoming games with Utah and possibly USC. Go, Ducks…….
  4. For lownslowav: Average College Football Player Size | Height & Weight WWW.NCSASPORTS.ORG See how you stack up compared to the average college football player size and learn what it takes to compete in college based on your position and desired division level.
  5. Valid point on size of UO DBs. Still, the position requires a unique set of skills/physical attributes that are indicated in recruiting checklists. “Defensive back football recruiting guidelines NCAA Division 1—FBS Average college football player size for DB: 5’11” / 189 lbs Should be a three-year varsity starter Multiple years competing at the All-State level The recruit should be the best athlete on the field! He can flip hips and get in and out of breaks without false steps.”
  6. Of the many changes in the UO team this season, the one key change that will likely give the Ducks the upper hand vs the Cardinal/Tree is that Mario Cristobal will be watching from Miami. Go, Ducks……….
  7. I don’t know which scenario is trickier, Georgia receiving excessive praise or Oregon receiving significant ridicule. As Lanning suggests, the key is how the Ducks will respond to the loss. Go, Ducks………
  8. Is it possible that Lanning knew about the likelihood of an imminent shift of Pac-12 teams to the Big10 when he took his new head coaching position at Oregon? Would Lanning have taken the HC job if he knew that the Ducks would remain in the Pac-12?
  9. Thank you, Charles, for the compelling piece on the current responses from Duck fans. Not to over-simplify the matter, but Duck fans have two choices: Boo or Boo-hoo. Go, Duck Fans……
