I have no doubt he will continue to be a hot commodity, but for now he is staying out at ASU.

Truthfully, he has a better chance of getting to a playoff by winning the Big12 than battling OBD, OSU, and Indiana every year.

Sources: Dillingham signs 5-year deal with ASU

Arizona State coach Kenny Dillingham has signed a new five-year contract that will average nearly $7.5 million over the course of the deal, sources told ESPN.
  2. I believe Marcus Freeman is failing these young men and their decision to "take their ball and go home"

I read that "the players agreed" to this. RIGHT HERE is where a good coach, a mentor to these young men, an influence in their lives needs to step up and have a heart-to-heart with these folks.

I know the team has a lot of emotions about being left out and that debate can be had. The vast majority of these guys will NOT be playing on Sunday. The seniors on that team have played their last game.

Marcus Freeman should have held a team meeting and addressed the emotions of being left out. He then should have told his team that they have one more chance to go to battle with their brothers, to finish this season on a high note as a team and go out together.

Things don't always go your way in life. Your response to that is what shapes your character, resiliency, and attitude. This was the PERFECT example for Marcus Freeman to show these young man that adversity doesn't mean you have to quit.

I already know the answer to my question, but can ANYONE here see DL letting this happen?

  3. I will say in looking at the bracket, Oregon's path seems easier than if they were the 6th seed.

Not taking ANYTHING away from Indiana, they have already beaten us and are extremely formidable.

That 6th seed though, you have to go through Georgia and probably Ohio State.

I won't say what Danny Kanell said about the Ducks and their path because I might be a little superstitious, but it rhymes with Rational Mamps.

It seems to me that a two loss Notre Dame team should be in ahead of a three loss Alabama team.

I think a lot of folks agree. My belief is the committee was very reluctant to punish an SEC team for playing in the championship and losing. They had NO issues doing it with Virginia...but Bama, that's different. That's SEC. 🙄

Even if ND had a lesser strength of schedule, they also LOST fewer games.

  5. It is very clear that the ACC is a tier below the Big10 and SEC, maybe even the Big12.

Looking at OL/DL, they do not have the size/speed of the Big10/SEC. Miami is built a little bit different , but they have a learning disability at the head coaching position.

Bama will be in the playoff, so DeBoer still has life. If the committee leaves them out then that will be the end of conference championship games.

All of the talking heads are saying the right things, that Alabama should be out, but I think they all know that it's gonna be hard to push Alabama out.

If they chose NOT to play the SEC Championship game, they would have been in.

I still think Bama goes to 10, ND up to 9. If Virginia wins the ACC, they will be 11, and Tulane (probably) will be 12. That leaves Miami out. Cristobal probably has called a timeout to have someone review.
