The former Oregon Duck began the season in the bullpen before starting his last 15 games and winning nine of his last 10 starts.

Well, since Chuck Martin(replaced Chris Crutchfield) is still listed on GoDucks as an assistant coach, other than "Director of Operations", I don't see an open position on Dana's staff.

@AfriDuck and @Drake are spot on. Your Dad may have been fishing the lakes along the Cascades Lakes Highway which all have great views of the Three Sisters Peaks(North, Middle, and South Sisters Peaks).

Cook has been attending AZ Compass Prep in Chandler, Arizona. One of his final 3 college choices was Gonzaga. With former Gonzaga assistant Tommy Lloyd now the Head Coach at Arizona, he might be in the ear of Mookie about coming to Tucson? Throw in a sweet NIL deal?

I remember a big lefty that had a nasty curve and every time the ball was headed towards plunking me I would bail out, and the ball would curve over the plate for a strike. Never did learn to hit the curve ball.
