  1. Excellent article. It is rather long, but gives good detail about each part of the upcoming Duck offense and defense.

It sure makes you see how our past coach didn't coach players or games to potential. Sad to see that potential wasted.

So happy Lanning is here and best of all, the team appears more cohesive.  GO DUCKS!!!!!!

Thanks for posting.  Definitely more detail than previous articles I have seen.  Leads one to believe that there is some substance to the discussions of the ACC alliance model.  Could be the emerging solution with one of these options being the next era.

That is what I was thinking. I had a tendency to think the ACC was so far away that it's just not possible.

Some of these options could be workable and more attractive than others I've read. I have accepted the fact that big change is inevitable.

  3. idontrollonshobbas - What an excellent analogy! I remember discussions on Chesterton's Fence years ago.

Many of the problems we face in life occur when we intervene with systems without an awareness of what the consequences could be.

This sure fits our current situation.

One thing that I think hurts PAC-12 viewership is the time of your guys prime time games.  There are a ton of viewers in the Eastern and Central time zones that don’t watch one of the best PAC-12 games every week bc it starts so late. I do when possible but for many it’s just not an option.

I don’t see a way around this.  You gotta have prime time cfb on the west coast.  I personally love it.  It means I can catch more good games.

SoGaDawg - You are so right! So many good PAC-12 games start at 10:00PM east coast time. I start watching and fall asleep sometime before the games ends.

It's no fun having to go online to see who won the day after! The PAC missing out on a large audience hurts not only viewership, but $ value as well.

Good points by Dawgs and Ducks on this board.  I brought this up when I joined but I would like to bring it up again, this is a great site for civil discussion about "your" team and "our" game.  I always get nervous when I see a Georgia poster because I am worried one of our "crazies" found this board.  But so far, at least what I have seen, we haven't had too many visit.

I imagine the odds will go up as we get closer to 9/3, but until then thanks for welcoming us! 🍻

You won't find troll posters on this site because they are banned. That is why I enjoy it so much. Charles and his band of moderators work hard to keep the site clean.

It is so refreshing to have discussions without name calling, foul language, etc.

BTW, it is great to read viewpoints from GA Dawgs!
