Speaking of elite recruits, Cliff was one of them. That kid was seriously special. I wish it would have turned out differently for him, but he was sure fun to watch while it lasted. One of my favorite Duck players of all time (along with Reuben Droughns).
Oregon with a 95% blue chip rate? Never in a million years did I think that would happen in my lifetime. What a great time to be a Duck fan.

WHEN Oregon Wins the National Title Playoffs, this Man will be pivotal in that success.
Outside of his on field control and mastery of the QB position, This shows even more reasons why Gabriel Deserves the Heisman.
Please let me be pleasantly surprised
This is an awesome article.

If I was starting a team from scratch and I had to pick one player to be on my team from the finalists, I am taking Jeanty every time.
Just imagine what that guy could do behind an elite OL.
Thinking about it that way, I would probably still vote for Gabriel for Heisman because I am a total homer.
But Jeanty is him.

I am not sure what is funnier for me. Miami getting knocked out of the playoff and ending up in the Pop-Tarts Bowl or the fact that Cam Ward just doubled down on it:
"You about to see the best thing that ever happened in the Pop-Tarts Bowl" Ward said.
Seriously Cam? Nobody is about to see that, because they will be watching the playoffs instead.

UCLA's a good team, that won't be a bad loss last in the season, Cronin is one of the better coaches out there, he'll get his guys to 20 wins I think.
Agree. Not bothered at all by this loss. UCLA is back in the Top 25 and is 14 in the NET ranking. If you are going to lose a game, lose one to a good team. This didn’t hurt Oregon’s ranking or potential seeding very much.

Oregon football success shows Dan Lanning is outclassing Lincoln Riley
TROJANSWIRE.USATODAY.COM
Dan Lanning and Oregon are actually doing the things Lincoln Riley was...“For decades, USC has been the premier football program on the West Coast.”
LOL! What? For the past two decades, USC has been a second rate program on the west coast. They only have one conference title in the last 16 years.

Louisville defeated Clemson in Clemson far more emphatically than did So. Carolina. Ditto Georgia in the game played in Atlanta.
USC East was hosed by the refs vs. LSU and had nice wins at 6-6 Oklahoma and vs. 8-4 A+M, but Wofford, Akron, and Old Dominion don't move the needle and USC should not jump over teams with the same record it lost to.
You know what could have helped USC's cause, a 9th conference game vs Bama but the loss to Ole Miss would still be on the resume.
We'll see if SC blows out a B1G team in its bowl game.
I respect that opinion. I think for me, it is more about who is trending in the right direction and who can compete right now.
Bama has been struggling and couldn’t even score against TD against a team with 2 conference wins.
South Carolina has won 6 straight games down the stretch. Three of those games were against Top 25 teams in the month of November and may include a CCG winner if Clemson beats SMU.
For me, one team is trending up, while the others (Miami, Bama, and Ole Miss) are trending down. I would have liked to see South Carolina get rewarded for their improvement on the field over the past 2 months.

They not only got killed 24-3 by an unranked team, they quit. That alone should get them bumped out of the top 25. I would have less of a problem with South Carolina being in the top 12. At least the Gamecocks are hungry and have steadily improved.
Agree with this. It should have been South Carolina. While Alabama was busy losing to a 2-6 conference team, South Carolina has been on a roll since October, beating three ranked teams in the process.

Does he mean the guy that was held to 150 yards passing and 6 points the last time he played Oregon? 🤣
Okay Prime.
