  4. Quite impressive (QB player). For sure one to look out for when playing Iowa. 3. Iowa HawkeyesIowa’s defense is always reliable. Thus, all eyes are on its offense entering the 2025 campaign. And, in an unusual twist of events, the Hawkeyes fans have reason to hope for brighter days. Iowa landed South Dakota State transfer quarterback Mark Gronowski this offseason. Gronowski was one of the most experienced quarterbacks in the transfer portal. In his four years at SDSU, Gronowski amassed 10,330 passing yards, 1,767 rushing yards, 93 passing touchdowns and 37 rushing scores. I can see why J.D. Pickell (analyst) has this marked Upset Alert.for our Ducks. Very difficult place to play at.

  13. Under Construction | 2025 Fall Camp Series Trailer - Oregon Football Back in December of 2024, the Oregon Ducks announced themselves as one of the best teams in the Big Ten Conference, defeating the Penn State Nittany Lions in the conference championship game. A few months before that, though, they let everyone know that they were coming. How? By simply declaring themselves as "That Team Out West." With a fall camp documentary series, the Ducks went viral, stoking some flames in the conference with their videos of behind-the-scenes developments in the program and close looks at the players through fall camp, much like we see every year in the NFL with HBO's Hard Knocks. Oregon announced on Tuesday that it will be running it back, too, this time with a new theme. "2025 Fall Camp: Under Construction" is set to release online this coming Thursday, August 7. The trailer for the series delves into the construction taking place at the Oregon practice facilities this summer as the Ducks build their new 170,000-square-foot indoor practice facility. A year ago, it was notable Oregon alum Ty Burrell who narrated every episode for the Ducks. We will see who they got to do the job this time around, but if the 2024 series is any indication, Oregon fans should be excited for the product that the video team produces later this week and over the next month. 14. Oregon Ducks' week 1 opponent ranked No. 2 in preseason FCS top 25In just a few short weeks, the Oregon Ducks will soar into battle for their first action of the 2025 season. The upcoming season-long campaign could be their most challenging under head coach Dan Lanning as they attempt to navigate losing a variety of players to the NFL Draft and the transfer portal. Thankfully, the Ducks have also acquired a sizeable group of players to replace the departed talent. The reigning Big Ten champions have a favorable schedule this season, but they will get a nice test in their first game. Oregon will face off against the Montana State Bobcats, who are soaring up the rankings after a wildly impressive 15-1 record last year. They came in at No. 2 on the preseason list of the top 25 FCS teams. It’s been an impressive run to respectability for the Bobcats as they land just behind the team that beat them in the FCS Championship Game, the North Dakota State Bison. The Ducks are clearly the better team, but Montana State is no pushover. If Oregon shows up to the game overconfident and underprepared, they could find themselves in an unexpected battle to kick off the season. Oregon football faces highly-ranked opponent in week 1

  17. Oregon Lands 2026's No. 1 CB Davon Benjamin Oregon’s 2026 recruiting class continues to climb the national rankings, as the Ducks now sit at No. 3 nationally in Rivals Industry team recruiting rankings after landing a 4-star Westlake Village (Calif.) Oaks Christian cornerback Davon Benjamin. He was the second commitment of the week for Oregon, as Rivals Industry 5-star Mobile (Ala.) St. Paul’s Episcopal EDGE Anthony ‘Tank’ Jones picked the Ducks over the Alabama Crimson Tide and the Texas A&M Aggies on Thursday. Benjamin committed to the Ducks on Saturday night, picking Dan Lanning‘s program over Michigan, Texas, North Carolina and Washington. The newest Oregon commit ranks No. 22 nationally according to the Rivals300 rankings, the No. 1 cornerback and the No. 3 prospect in California. He’s the 17th verbal commitment and the fourth defensive back to commit to Chris Hampton and Rashad Wadood this cycle, joining Rivals Industry 5-star Las Vegas (Nev.) 19. Drew Mehringer: "We've got a very talented room."Co-Offensive Coordinator Drew Mehringer meets with the media following practice on August 4, 2025. Chris Hampton: "The competition has been great."Interesting what coach Hampton is saying "I think we've got all the talent to be a really good secondary. Now we've just got to do it.” "We definitely look the part. We're not as experienced. I think everyone knows that." "We've just got to do it, and continue to grow each and every day. We're going in the right direction." "I think we're still going to run our system, at the end of the day. Obviously we have guys who fit the profile of what we want, height, weight and speed. We've done a great job recruiting, I think, everyone in the organization.” What he is saying, the Ducks secondary will look a lot different this season than last year’s, "taller, stronger, faster defensive backs.” Here’s hoping the first four games before the Penn St. game will reap dividends. 24. The Oregon Ducks lost a majority of their starters along the offensive line from last season. As a result, center Iapani Laloulu has taken the steps to become an outspoken leader in the offensive line roomThe Oregon Ducks had one of the best season in program history last year and a large part of their offensive success can be traced back to the talent along the offensive line. Despite all the success from last year, the Ducks will have to replace a majority of their starters along the offensive trenches including 2025 first round draft pick Josh Conerly Jr. However, the Ducks do have one returning starter in center Iapani Laloulu, who started all 14 games last season and is the most experienced returnee on the Ducks' offense.
