  1. This post, and these comments, put a big smile back on my face. I was primed to immerse myself in the games today. I might have even skipped a birthday party… where, at said birthday party, someone asked me if Texas was winning, and, I had completely forgot that it was even on. The L was painful, and the sting hasn’t worn off, yet, but it’s good to know that I’m not alone.

  2. Going to be a good game next weekend. Utah looks very Utah, and Barnes played really tough football, tonight. Oh, and Vaki is ridiculous. We can’t afford to be asleep at the wheel to start off against the Utes, or they’ll make us pay.

Thanks so much for sharing this. When I saw the length of the video, nearly 27 minutes, I figured I'd watch about 5 or so minutes of it.

Nearly 27 minutes later, I wanted about 27 minutes more.

Just a tremendous video about a QB who, IF they can keep him moderately healthy, will likely go down in NFL as one of the Top-5 QBs of all time.

I watched the game where he took those back to back hits, fracturing his rib cartilage. I already loved Herbert, but the grit that he showed, the rest of that game… man, my admiration went to another level. He’s a dude. I agree, if they can protect him, he’s going to cement a special legacy!

  4. Completely agree with number 1. As for number 2, it isn’t a foregone conclusion, however likely, but… I’ll take a known Heisman contender over a 5* question mark, all day.

I was bummed to see the Moore to UCLA news, and felt it had more to do with the incoming coordinator. But, if his decision was based off of the staff letting him know that Nix was coming back, he can go play at UCLA, or anywhere else for that matter.

It’s obviously important to be able to develop talent, as a progrum, but that has to come with kids who are ok with the possibility of sitting out, while developing. If a true freshman refuses to go to a team where he isn’t a shoe-in as a starter - don’t let the doore hit you on the way out.

  5. Sometimes we forget, these players are just kids. They come from all walks of life, and not all of them have advisors that filter what they say.

That being said, I laughed at his message, good for him. We’ve all seen how Leach can be a complete idiot.

Would I have done the same thing? Probably not. Is he going to get swooped up? Of course he is. This isn’t going to hurt his on-field production in the slightest… unless he gets picked up by OBD and is stashed behind our three-headed monster backfield… 😂
