On one hand, the deal was historic, marking the first time a high school track athlete signed a deal with Nike. Mia Brahe-Pedersen is heading into her junior year of high school and is the No. 1 high school track recruit in the country out of Lake Oswego, Oregon. The 5-foot-9 sprinter has set records in the 100 meters (11.00 seconds) and 200 meters (22.43 seconds) and won multiple national championships.
