"I hope a big one. We have over 45 newcomers on scholarship, almost over 50 players on our team that are new to our roster, and you hope that they do a great job of transitioning in with the guys that we already have here," said head coach Dan Lanning. "Some great veteran leadership that exists on our team." Lanning noted he's started to see his program's leaders push their way into developing the newcomers. He commented that's a sign of where you really have a team all bought in. He noted he's seen that pop up this offseason as his returners became comfortable within the system and now can help bring along the underclassmen and newcomers.
