Pennsylvania Duck Moderator No. 1 Share Posted October 1, 2023 Week 5 around college football didn't feature as many fireworks as the loaded Week 4 schedule did, but there was still plenty of Top 25 action. The game of the day turned out to be Ole Miss' victory over LSU, which featured 104 points and a last-minute, game-winning touchdown by the Rebels. Lane Kiffin's team asserted itself after a painful loss to Alabama, while any playoff hopes LSU had disappeared. No. 11 Notre Dame avoided a drop in the rankings by scoring a last-minute touchdown to outlast No. 17 Duke, despite a great effort from the Blue Devils. Elsewhere, No. 10 Utah took a Friday night loss at No. 19 Oregon State, positioning the Beavers to jump in Sunday's polls. No. 22 Florida is set to fall out of the rankings after a blowout loss to Kentucky, while No. 1 Georgia is clinging to the top spot after narrowly escaping Auburn. Mic No. 3 Share Posted October 1, 2023 Happy to see Fresno State in the top 25. Well, 5-0 can earn you some respect, I guess. Always interesting to have a 'joker' in the deck. FS was one team I was hoping might be asked to join the Pac when first learning of USC & UCLA's defection. OSU & WSU should consider them, if they're interested.
