Posted January 4, 20214 yr Administrator At times I am so amazed at all the talent, yet not really have a dominating shot-blocker or "big" down low will hurt us later...or will it? Nice article here about the Stanford game as a review, and that game was so tough and it did not look for a number of times for the Ducks. Yet the final score makes it appear they won comfortably and it was anything but that. Thoughts? Mr. FishDuck
January 4, 20214 yr Moderator That was a very interesting game. It was up and down to start with, so it didn't really matter that Oregon didn't have a go to scorer at the basket. But, after Figueroa's put back slam, it was all Ducks. Duarte and Omoyuri picked it up as well on defense and shut Stanford down, and it will just get better when, hopefully in 2 weeks, Will Richardson is able to play.
January 4, 20214 yr This team has huge potential once Richardson returns. It's the kind of team that Altman loves, it doesn't rely on shooting percentages to win. The defensive intensity is incredible. If Kepang can provide any inside presence on defense for brief minutes that would be a big bonus. This is a sweet 16 team at the very least.
