Power 4 football and men's basketball should kiss the NCAA goodbye. Michigan's Jim Harbaugh was threatened with suspension by NCAA last fall for lawyer's social media criticism - CBSSports.com WWW.CBSSPORTS.COM The NCAA told Tom Mars, Harbaugh's attorney, if he didn't stop criticizing the organization, Harbaugh could be suspended
JabbaNoBargain No. 2 Share Posted April 18 (edited) It’s a bit of a full circle, isn’t it? What/who is the NCAA? Are the power 4 kissing themselves goodbye? The NCAA isn’t an outside entity created by Congress, Microsoft, or some other body. Now if the P4 wanted to restructure and exclude the non-P4 from governance (full split), I could see that. The NCAA is the member institutions, there has to be some form of governance I would think. IMO Michigan/Harbaugh got off light…so far. There is still the matter of “sign stealer guy” and the FBI investigating Michigan for the last 6 months that has yet to hit. Jim skates off to his cool new NFL job after winning the title and leaves the mess behind. Edited April 18 by JabbaNoBargain
